is this phone got keypad crack problem.

If you press the keypad too hard for too long a duration it will crack but if you sms like normal it wont ler

depend your luck.

most of the W580/S500 keypad crack easily.

i want to buy this phone but when read what you guys said about the keys im in dilemma now..arghhh

I heard dat if we buy Ori set, we are given warranty for the keppad problem?
how long is the warranty..?

if the duration for the warranty has ended...
and after dat we face keypad cracking problem..is it still free of charge for repairing?

Original will be 12 months warranty, w unlimited keypad change if any cracked at anytime.

I hear some people crack their keys after a few days... I'm just glad that mine is still not cracked after 3 weeks of using...

so basicaly if i'm super gentle it wont crack?

the keypad normally people sms, press kinda hard lor.. so will crack.. maybe newer batch 1 seems ok.. my fren they all just buy no problem la..

alright thanks stratos, cos my friend wanna buy, so yeah. She's afraid of the issue that the keypads are breaking. I heard the newer batch at more resistant to the breaking, but still ppl complaining of breaking.

Then if the keypads really does break, if i doesn't have a warranty service on it, how much do u think i need to pay in order to repair the keypads?

for ap set.. keypad normally is 3 month warranty.. but i think they will charge for the replacement.. as in not free of charge.. and some seller would not help u change coz the kaypad come with the housing 1 set.. they dun sell the keypads only.. tats the problem.. but as for ori set, 12 months lo, change the keypad till kaw kaw la..

so.. u have to buy the whole housing just to change the keypads lor.. since the keypads are not sold seperately..

u buy ori set or AP set..?

if u get ori set then go change for free.. If u get AP set then GG lor..

IF ap set they dun sell the keypad only.. have to buy whole housing coz the keypad comes with the housing 1 set..

how do i check if the phone is newer batch or older batch? any "secret code" or something?

yesterday i asked one shop for original, he said only AP available. and keep asking me why i want ori set

he said AP warranty also cover everything, lcd/keypad , no charge for first year. is that true?

depends on the ap company...lif u noticed, few forumers who sell hp in garage sales, also hv longer period warranty for ap phone...n ap company CSl (big ap company) offer up to 18monts for transceiver, 12months for LCD...nway, as for this w580, better u read or check the warranty card (know what they offer) due to keypad crack problem, the seller might know not telling u that keypad crack not cover...

nway, although these ap companies offer like this warranty scheme, but its source still questionable especially those small ap companies...ori set will give u peace of mind...

as for me, i choose ap due to big diff in price for my phone
if hv extra money sure buy ori one
