QUOTE(thaifans @ Jun 13 2017, 10:05 PM) hi players .... just wondering it is too late for me to start WOW? If you just want to concentrate to play current Legion content, it is not difficult to catch up at all.this game has been around 11-12 yrs already right? will be hard to catch up? To play the game, you need to purchase both the base game and the current Legion expansion. If you purchase the Legion expansion online, you will be getting one free boost to level 100, which is the starting level to play current Legion expansion. That will allow you to start playing current expansion immediately. And some tips. Blizzard should be having the mid year sales soon, and it is very possible they will give discount to WOW. The game sales should start in less than 2 weeks. The base game will probably be discounted either 50% or 75%. Even the Legion expansion might be offered at a discount. So if you wait a bit, you could save a bit of money. |

I am not able to advise on what you need to buy in order to start or how far you can play on starter pack. But it is not too late. Every expansion is like a new beginning. So you won't have very far to catch up.

QUOTE(thaifans @ Jun 13 2017, 11:15 PM) I suggest if you really want to see how a high level game is like, at least go buy the base game during the sales, which allow you to play up to level 100, and probably costs only USD$5.00. If you can find someone else here to level up with you, you can use the refer a friend feature to get leveling speed increases by 3 times for both of you, which allow you to reach level 100 much faster during the 1 month free play. The expansion is likely to cost more though even with discount as the content is still being released incrementally. Even during sales it probably only has USD$10 discount so will probably still cost USD$40.00. For me, the main reason to play the game is because this expansion is likely to conclude the story started back in Warcraft 3 RTS. |

QUOTE(dimensionx @ Jun 14 2017, 10:57 AM) Starter pack only allows you to play up to level 20, and the content is limited to the original base game content released 13 years ago. The total level in game now is 110 and there have been 6 additional expansions added to the game. Those low level content is really not a representation of how the game is like in the current expansion now. It lacks all the key features such as artifacts, class halls, followers, bodyguards, world quests, and end game raids. Not to mention most of the key character skills are not yet open up at level 20. alright!!! thanks so much for the reply!! ill keep an eye on the discountI suggest if you really want to see how a high level game is like, at least go buy the base game during the sales, which allow you to play up to level 100, and probably costs only USD$5.00. QUOTE(wildfire_rebecca @ Sep 26 2018, 04:12 PM) No, never to late enjoy their content. Personally I recommend wotlk/bc patch if you like balanced PvP. Newer versions are casualised imo. Try warmane server, they have very good online to play with! Agree i have just started with WOW and its still so amazing. |

QUOTE(thaifans @ Jun 13 2017, 10:05 PM) hi players .... just wondering it is too late for me to start WOW? To me the game is fairly newbie friendly now despite the expansions.. with the new levelling system you can choose to play anywhere at your pace. If you are interested in the game and the world I would recommend you to still check it out. Make sure you join an Oceanic realm thou for guild and other time related arrangement at your timezonethis game has been around 11-12 yrs already right? will be hard to catch up? |

Since there is WoW Classic coming out in late Aug. There will be 2 types of game play that fits different audience group. This video pretty much explain it all. Though it is then same game, it is still different gameplay. It is very interesting to see a company bringing an old 15 years game back into the current modern world. Old game + modern culture(twitch, youtube, facebook, insta etc) cant wait to see how it turns out and how it will affect the mmo industry. |

QUOTE(exoticars @ May 12 2020, 12:01 AM) Oceanic servers many players frm Southeast Asia..I'd recommend Yojamba if you like pvp..no long ass queues and less toxic than Arugal, quite balance horde alliance population, easy to get guild and raid.. Hmmm, between Arugal and Yojamba, only these 2 have most players?I am going back to WoW. but not classic. |
