Changed my Gen2 CPS all 4 tyres 195/55/R15 from Dunlop D05 to EP300 last month (last gst holiday lol), changed at weng heng for rm128/piece.

Still yet to do 1,000km, but so far i notice it's easier to move from standstill, i guess this is what it means to have lower rolling resistance.

But it also makes me feel a bit more nervous when cornering, it just doesn't make me feel as confident, scared lose grip and terbabas kinda feel. I dunno if it's because it's still new yet to break in properly or memang liddis, i hope it's the former.

Probably won't get another EP300 next time, not for mildly fun car like Gen2 at least.

I guess it's due to softer sidewall that gives you the nervous feel? I'm driving gen2 also, last time when changing from stock Sime Tyre to Falken Ziex 912, immediately I feel nervous when going to small roundabout near my office, the car feel "buang" when I do cornering, even the inferior Sime Tyre feels more stable. So I read online it's due to soft sidewall, so I increased the pressure to 34psi when cold, got little improvement but still not the feeling I like. Gen2 seems very sensitive on tyre sidewall as other cars I drive don't have such huge feeling difference...

Hi guys.. im planning to buy tyre for myvi with size l95.55.R15 with budget under rm 150/pcs.. any suggestion please?

Waze Weng Heng at Bukit Kemuning. On mudah, they're the seller named sport rim, usually among the cheapest.

I got mine last month for rm128/tyre, include balancing and installation, valve rm5/piece, alignment rm15.

Yes, but can't help it, Gen2 too fun to throw corners around and still feel in control, so not always drive like unker lol.

I guess i know now to not get EP300 again for it. Gen2 deserves UHP tyres.

Installed EP300 on Waja at the front during Lazada promotion. Was evaluating and deciding whether to put the same at rear but after a week, decided not to do it. The sidewall is too soft , feel the same also , nervous when cornering even compared to my aged Michelin. Moved the EP300 to the back and installed new Michelin PS3 at the front. Not the best setup, but have to live with it now. EP300, RM 130 while PS3 is RM240 each for 195/55/15. EP300 is best bang for buck but not for mild spirited driving.

Thanks for your comments, was actually thinking to fit EP300 for my gen2 in future before you and tokdukun's comment. Last year also thought of fitting it on my Polo Sedan as well, but I ended up and satisfied with more expensive Yokohama ES32 after reading so many good comments overseas.

Ecopia is said to reduce fuel consumption, otherwise theres no reason to use this tyre no?

because so far most comments here is about its handling etc, which is not this tyres strong point

Just Change from Ep300 to ES32 today due to discomfort ride, very disappointed with the quality where i only used for 1 year plus , car start to vibrate and found multiple bulges (Swell) on Tyre.

Changed to ES32 and everything seems resolved.

What's your ride rim width and the EP300 tyre size?

I find this to be common when the tyres shodded are wider than recommended ie beyond the rim's width. Whenever going pot holes esp this may have a tendency to occur.

Rim size would be 15" diameter with rim width 6.0" JJ or narrower like 5.5" JJ? 195 is ok on 6.0" but on 5.5" the tendency to bulge if kena pothole is higher. I've experienced this on 195/55/R15 on an older City and my rims was 5.5". When changed to a 6.0", it's ok.

Serious? Where you get the price?

I been survey few shops, mostly is higher than Dunlop J5 about 40 ~ 50. Unless you are referring to EP150.

Still a lot of shop carry EP150.
