BEWARE OF SCAM - Whatsapp Buyer Scam

To all sellers,

Please be informed that this person (juddyehindg) is a scammer! We received his PM through Shopee and contacted him via Whatsapp.

He told us he was in Europe and requested us to post the item to his partner in Sarawak. After providing our payment methods, he informed us he had transferred an overpaid amount of RM400 to our Maybank account (which we didn't even receive any transaction from them), we even received a transaction statement from a foreign bank via his own gmail, which he custom made the email template himself as you can see from the pictures attached.

This ‘professional’ scammer blocked us when we asked for his account details to check with the bank or we’ll make a police report regarding this.

Haha Seller should only entertain payment thru Shopee. Any request to chat outside in WhatsApp is suspicious.
Sellers can just request shopee to ban those suspected to be scammers to avoid others falling into their traps.

shopee got its own messenger and payment gateway that act as middle man to hold money before stock arriving.

thus whoever request to chat outside of it and make payment outside shopee definitely a big question mark, no need bother at first.

anything request to deal from whatsapp n not deal with IBG can fuck them off ... just report ...

N ts, that sounds like normal scam sop. So most probably he use same method to scam others. So probably the picture in that whatsapp is not him but some random picture he took from internet

damm one of he oldest trick in the book. Never send any money back to whoever even if they claim overcharge unless the amount show up in your account.

Maybe should keep some along phone nos and when they asked for phone nos, ask them to call along

But there is no commission for shopee sales, so why need to layan outside?

TS should scam the scammer - tell the scammer you refunded RM4000 accidentally, and that the amount is blocked until he re-refunds the refund money back to TS
