Hi guys i need help,

recently my 2 year old SG tatoo 303 wire fubar on me. after most would think sound degradation but in my case it was wire degradation.

here's what happened

1) i recently noticed that after about 2 years of the speaker and wire being in the same place, the protective plastic wire at the top of the SG power plug was broken loose and hanging by the electrical wiring. so i thought it'd be okay if i left it and don't be a smart ass and mess with it.

2) today about 5 the blew up on me, and caused the power point fuse to be tripped on the mains.

3) after examining the wire, it's completely snapped. and i'm not sure that the speaker can be used anymore.

Here's my question, after 2 years would SG help with any form of warranty?

If warranty is fubar for me, is it safe to try and attach the wire to a new plug head?
