can you try putting the rear jack into the front jack instead, and check if there's any sound?

When i put the rear and front input accordingly, centre, subwoofer, and front speaker produces sound.

When i put the rear input into front input and vice versa, only the rear speaker produces sound.

I change the connection at the control box, and not at mobo's sound card connector.

start > control panel > sound > speakers/digital audio (at playback) > speakers > configure (left bottom) > choose 5.1 surround > press test > all speakers are functioning well (produces sound).

But when playing youtube or original cd song the rear speakers did not produces sound. How come?

then it's clear the speaker has input problem. usually when you touch the cable connector it will buzz according to the speakers. i.e. when i touch the front input cable the left and right front will buzz

What do you mean by input problem?

I put the speakers to my other computer, and still got the same problem.

as i said, u can touch the wire and see if the sound correspond to the jack you touch. to make things simple, why don't you take a detailed picture of your speaker wires. that way we can assist you better.

I touch the wires and the sound correspond to the jack that i touch. Does it means that it's not speaker problem?

then it's your soundcard setting problem. what is your soundcard type? if it's onboard then the motherboard model.

well it uses VIA V1708S codec. not sure about via, but perhaps in VIA audio manager, do you configure the jack accordingly? most people mistakenly set 5.1 to use "rear speakers" which should be "side speakers".

i did some listening to sonic gear. Evo 3 Platinum, A3, Enzo 600 and A7. not so long though.

the A7 is the one that mostly caught my attention. uses different approach in the entire sonic gear design, that is slot port for the subwoofer. also features thin alumininum / steel sheet in front of the subwoofer. sound? the one that is connected to music is off, so i listened to the set connected to dvd player. bass is deep, much deeper than my friend's A5 and any other SG i've ever heard.

im not sure if they still use the cheap implementation on the A7 (fake tweeter / incomplete PCB) but i'm keen to see what is inside the box.

ahh... u've missed the evo5 platinum lol
anyway it sucks tho tongue.gif

btw,about a7,it has real tweeters tho icon_rolleyes.gif
I sacrifice a bit by putting my ears close to tweeter and the tweeter does make sound tongue.gif

I still wonder how a7 sounds tho,can tell a bit?
during that time I never get to listen properly as lots of interruption from other speakers.

mind telling more about the sound quality other than the bass? rolleyes.gif

sorry but the set i was listening was attached to the dvd player. so, no music... can't really tell. as the set in another shop did not work...

im also interested in how it sounds. some says lack of mid, as usual. i just googled and found it pretty decent. what surprises me is the slot port, and the use of real steel on the subwoofer, unlike logitech z cinema with fake steel on subwoofer and real one on satellites. doh.gif

please choose a different brand wink.gif
sonic gear is prone to damage

so choose something from other brands like Edifier,Altec Lansing,Logitech

I'd recommend Edifier E3100
it is one powerful speaker and it is small enough for people with limited space.
