My grandma still uses a cassette player. Sadly it broke few weeks ago.

I try to convince her to use CD/USB portable player, but sadly earphone & wire just aren't her thing.
But that's not the main thing.

Thing is, my grandma had lots and lots of cassette collection, more than 50 I supposed. rclxub.gif
Those songs are so classic and some couldn't be found in the Internet.

The only solution right now is to fix her cassette player/buy a new one for her.
But cassette player is hard to find nowadays, anyone know where can I get a hand of it?

This is something she had, not exactly it, but closest image I could find:

She requires a portable cassette player that comes with speaker, not those bulky type.

go to those electrical shop that fix things. Usually they sell some of the ones they fix

Thanks for sharing, although granny would prefer a smaller and lighter one.

Electric shop that know how to service these are so scarce.
Even though they might know how to fix, but probably dont have spare parts.

Do you guys have any particular good shop that can recommend will head there when time allows.

Check Lazada see whether got sell or not. Last time I saw but it is aradio with cassette, larger and not really convenient to carry around.
Otherwise,  you can try to convert all the cassette into MP3, buy a speaker with USB and play it from SD card or pen drive. I believe those larger sd card or pen drive can even fit all the songs in.
No wire involve apart from maybe charging the speaker.
It really takes time, you just be patient and teach her all the way and it will be good.

I got no issue with that, converting or teaching.
Problem is, age old people have many hindrance. Wouldn't want to learn much, hand-eye coordinate etc..

I could put into files, but she will have hard time browsing and looking at digital screen.
Which is why older phones with buttons etc also working better than smartphone.

Thanks for understanding.
