Possible "Technomancer / Caster" concept art

So far we only know of 3 types. Colossus, Ranger and the above 'Caster' Javelin.

Comparison between Destiny & Anthem
QUOTE
The Javelin exosuits appear to be a key differentiator here. Whereas in Destiny your character is locked into a single set of abilities based on your initial class selection, Anthem appears to allow you to change abilities/classes on the fly, by simply changing Javelin exosuits. If true, this would be welcome, as it would greatly reduce grinding and increase casual accessibility.

When I returned to BioWare last summer, Mass Effect: Andromeda had just been released and there was a significant movement among players asking for a story DLC that would answer questions surrounding the fate of the quarians. As you know, we were not able to deliver story DLC for Andromeda—this was as frustrating for us as it was for players, and it was something we knew we had to solve in future games.

That experience ultimately became a defining moment in refocusing BioWare’s mission. We need to delight players with new experiences and innovation, but we must stay focused on the importance of the world, character, and storytelling elements that players expect from our games. And our games must be designed to continue delivering new stories and experiences, in an ongoing relationship with players in the worlds we’re evolving together.

It’s in that spirit that we are working through production on Anthem–a game designed to create a whole new world of story and character that you can experience with friends in an ongoing series of adventures. It will be unlike anything you’ve played, but if we do it right, it will feel very distinctly BioWare.

Next time I’ll talk more about how our updated studio mission is helping to focus our work on Anthem and the games that will follow!

QUOTE
Söderlund says he’s hopeful that Battlefront II can still be saved; early in the year, the company announced that the game missed its sales targets, which EA blamed on the loot box controversy. But a bigger question might be how the experience will impact future EA games. The most pressing concern is Anthem, the next release from EA studio BioWare, which is set to release next year. Similar to Destiny, the game is set in a shared online sci-fi world, where players can team up to complete missions together. As a persistent online game, Anthem will likely have some kind of in-game purchases, and Söderlund says that, following Battlefront II, EA is looking at this area with more scrutiny than ever.

“We have taken significant steps as a company to review and understand the mechanics around monetization, loot boxes, and other things in our games before they go to market,” he says. “For games that come next, for Battlefield or for Anthem, [players have] made it very clear that we can’t afford to make similar mistakes. And we won’t.”

On a world left unfinished by the gods, humanity struggles to survive in a savage environment. Equipped with incredible Javelin exosuits, a faction known as the Freelancers seeks to tip the balance in mankind’s favor.

No loot boxes. No powers locked behind a pay-wall.
