My Honda city not able to start the engine since this morning . Even push start few times also the same.

The dashboard indicators showing two icon lights up as show in picture . Anyone know what's happening ? Tq

New Update 11/6/17: just got it fixed by changing new battery. The previous battery was in low voltage. Only 2 months old already like that . The original battery named FB. Honda should pay more attention on QC

it is depend on how u describe the issue to them .I changed my car battery on Saturday when the issue arise ,and they do not believe it is due to starter issue .

the same problem on Sunday and they processed the warranty claim for starter...need to wait for 1week for that part .

mine at setia alam Honda

I highly recommend you toget a OCB2 adapter for your car. It helps you to troubleshoot such problems

I learned that from my Fiesta when it gave me all sorts of weird indicator that it's not working. Upon plugging in my OCB2 adapter and connected it to my phone .The battery was at 9V

Looks like the battery power is weak... Button start type ignition won't allow to crank the engine if the battery power is weak/low. Unlike the key pushing ignition type(mechinical type), U can still attempt to crank even the battery power is weak/low.

BTW, the Honda is farking stingy(should I say shitty cost down)... only 1 ground/earth cable on the battery connection. Unlike the rest of Jap Car manufacturer which offer 2 ground/earth cables(1 to body & 1 to engine) battery connection.

Goodluck to those 6 years+ Honda city users, you will experience the symptom
slow cranking during start up the engine due to cable oxidized(heat built up due to high resistance).

Why don't you go and look at other Jap brands car battery connections.
It should be 2 cable connections on the negative pole. 1 to engine, 1 to body.

Most of the car user never look into this til it caused problem on starting the engine.
Some still experiencing slow cranking after replaced a new battery.

It can be Quite annoying if 1st attempt cranking failure. I can't imagine what will happen in coming 5 years.
