Not much time to play games these days, still making an effort to slowly progress and complete easy missions.
Accomplished the mission for Tier VI Submarine rentals. U-69 and Cachalot

U-69 was a U-boat that was laid down on 11th Nov 1939 and Commissioned on the 2nd Nov 1940. Made 10 career patrols under three out of four U-boat commanders with two of them surviving the war. It was sunk on 17th February 1943 in the North Atlantic east of Newfoundland, by depth charges from the British destroyer HMS Fame. 46 dead (all hands lost)


Full speed ahead!
The gameplay is nothing like a submarine simulator with the u-boat having a maximum diving depth of only 40 meters and diving duration of 6 minutes 30 seconds. Anyway, still a nice distraction form playing the surface warships.


Slowly going up from maximum depth 40m to operational depth 20m to check for hostiles, periscope and finally surface the u-boat.

Tier IV Destroyers aren't really useful except for beginners. Unlike World of Tanks, daily missions can only be completed with Tier V to Tier X ships. However, getting port slots are difficult and rarely if ever given discounts. Completing early access missions for ships and getting rewards like this are the only way to get port slots for free easily.

Tier IV V-170 German Destroyer.
I find playing destroyers the most enjoyable due to its speed, maneuverability, deadly torpedoes and setting up ambushes behind islands and smokescreens. FeelsGoodMan when a salvo of torpedoes hit the broadside of a full health battleship sending it down to Davy Jones's Locker.


The German Tier II to IV have forward firing torpedoes and good choices for beginners in Co-op Battles.


Once the forward tubes are empty, then its time to turn and launch torpedoes from the mid and stern tubes and disengage.


Sometimes, the target will turn away or into the direction of torpedoes; and/or change speed causing the torpedoes to miss. With experience, you can adjust the firing solution and torpedo spread for best chance of hitting the target.


Still 2D rotating sprites for shell splashes and explosions...?


Only a single hit from the forward torpedo salvo.

Right... I'm sure it will be back. The only question is when. Never really bothered with this till today when I realize there is a set of 3 missions for a free commander while completing my daily missions. In any case, I don't see these colorful ships nor commanders nor other fantasy ships because I choose to disable them.


I wanted to join the Decepticons and get Starscream but accidentally clicked Autobots. I'll just settle for Grimlock.

It's been a while since I posted something about WoWS. Been busy with tanky tanks missions leaving me little to no time to play this game. So far for this month I received two WoWS bonus codes in my registered Wargaming e-mail. Might be worth checking yours if you haven't opened in a while.

Update 0.11.9 released a few days ago. Anyway, with the current events in World of Tanks, I just log in daily for the freebies.
