Great restructuring of the first page. Articles are informative albeit a bit lengthy

A sincere thank you to all who have done a great job contributing (my only contribution is this post so far which is far from informative)
I am sure all of us here appreciate it as well as future new visitors

Thanks guys. Keep up the great job!

Guys, for Luno, funds transfer from which bank will be the fastest?

Maybank? Using normal IBG or instant?

and if use instant it really doesn't matter which bank you use

yea. still need to wait for awhile as the instant is only more instant than ibg which has set times for deposit
53sen for speedier transfer i feel its worth
rather than anxiously waiting for when the ibg might go thru

The lowyat dump. This will either make the whole scene stronger or kill it somewhat. But in crypto world... You can never really know what will happen.

Could very well be life as usual but I highly doubt that's gonna be the case

Wei, 2:15am not sleeping aaaa?

BTC at 2280. Too late for me to do anything. Will just have to ride this one out.

The news posted by Wootz doesn't look good though.
I have always believed that bitcoin will be regulated. It was inevitable. For countries to accept bitcoin "as is" is like saying they condone criminal/illegal usage of bitcoins. That's the reason I think India will probably accept bitcoin but in a regulated manner.

According to the link you posted, the bill will require travellers entering the country to declare all their cryptocurrency holdings :
Lol, again, I have no problems declaring my holdings but I can't imagine myself declaring my 53 cyptos on entering.....

Immigration : Do you hold any cryptocurrencies?

Me : Yes, I have some

Immigration : You need to declare everthing

Me : Everything? But but I have over 50 types of cryptos..... I need to declare ALL?

Immigration : (Looking incredulous) 50? (He's thinking this Malaysian guy is crazy) Yes, everything.

Me : (Whips out my tablet and open "Poloniex" website). Here sir, these are my coins on Polo. (Open all the addresses storing my coins on hardwarewallet) These are those I store on my hardware wallet.

Immigration : Hardware wallet? Can I have a look?

Me : I didn't bring them

Immigration : Them? How many do you have?

Me : I have lots. It is a requirement to bring? I already showed you all my holdings

Immigration : Not sure. Let me check with my superior. (makes a phone call.... 10 minutes on the line as the supervisor has to call his supervisor who had to call his boss). Ok, my boss's boss say no need. Are you sure this is all you have?

Me : Errrmmm... (not sure, because joined a few crowdsale the day before) Yes, this is all I have. Can I go?

Immigration : Ok, you can go.  thumbup.gif Do remember if didn't declare all your cryptocurrencies, you can be charged under cryptocurrency law and (let out a mouthful of regulations).

Me : Yes, I understand (numbed). Can I go?

Immigration : Yes, have a good day and oh, by the way, I also do trade cryptos too.  What do you think of MONERO? sweat.gif

I'm sure they'll find an easier way to access everything we own. Maybe one day all accounts will be tied in to biometrics.

This is true. But need to ensure capital preservation although I feel the upside of crypto is great. It's like a roller coaster. Up and down. And sometimes upside down. But it will Always go up n down. How high and how low Nobody knows... Enjoy the ride only on the amount u can afford to lose

the block number should be the same.

Some people suggest you add one to the block number, because the first block is going to have insane competition.

It's legit right? Cos many sites scam to get free cash during these times.

Question is why some got and some didn't get the invite

Stellar website asked to create an account so I just created an account.

That's the account you create to store the lumens. To access the account, use the stellar account viewer and enter the secret key.
I had about 1 BTC on Polo and 0.5 BTC in Trezor.

Yeah, really disappointed with Polo. Hope they will join the giveaway program.
*
Was hoping for Polo to distribute but nothing so far. Since they mentioned if on exchanges no need to do anything?
But my coins were lent out at that time. So I dunno if I qualify?

You mean use STR address on Polo?

Nope, they don't accept as you need to attach a memo to STR address on Polo. The claiming website will warn you that they don't accept Polo's address.
*
Can still claim? How do we do that?

QUOTE(kmarc @ Jul 10 2017, 12:13 PM)
For those holding Siacoin, do go over to siacoin Reddit to read about latest development. I have been spending more time there and here's a summary of what's going on.

1) Obelisk siacoin ASIC miner did not receive enough orders. They are extending the sale indefinitely until they reach 4000 units. In short, was sort of a failure although the team was anticipating much more orders.

2) Siacoin development team is getting short of funds. As you know, they didn't do ICO or pre-mine the coins. Their limited funds is going to run out sooner or later and the lead developer was hinting at various ways of getting funding. One of the way was a passing mention of hard-forking Siacoin to get the funds, spooking quite a few people in the process.

Recent development is not positive especially for those who is aiming for short-term gains. Do go over and decide whether you still want to hold the coin or unload. For me, I'm still HODLing and hope the team makes the right decision and yes, I did order for one Obelisk miner. wink.gif

no wonder the price dropped significantly
hope they can find a solution for all these issues

If you don't need the money in the short term, why not?
As they say, be fearful when others are greedy, and be greedy when others are fearful.
And this particular time is about as fearful as it gets.

We may not see these kinds of discounts again for a long long time, if ever.

THIS quote separates the good from the great. Now just need to see who has guts to pump in more and wait the storm out to emerge richer than they were before
only issue is this august 1st
Should wait or go in now
that is the question
and which coin...

Phew! A sigh of relief : Sia receives $400k grant from INBlockchain for development of its cloud storage platform : https://sia.tech/2017grant/

This will settle the issue of limited funds..... for now.....
*
Good news indeed.
But the 400k can last for how long?
Hope this news is reflected in the price of SC increasing!
