Tried looking for this thread but couldn't find it, only to realised that it has been pinned! Congrats!

So I have read through the comments in the past few pages and saw cloud mining stuff and goldfries video

From what I understand is that difficulty in mining increases with time, hence return in the coin mined will be lesser?

Story time folks.

Last year January in 2016, a few things happened.

We had a contentious scaling event with Bitcoin, Bitcoin Classic was among one of the solution to address it.

I poured money setting up Classic full nodes, and looked at genesis mining, they mentioned they'll support Bitcoin classic!

I was like great! Let me buy some hashpower to help!

Deposited 0.8 BTC with full intention of not seeing anything back. Then at feb 2016 they 180 degrees on Classic and that was that.

The daily payout only lasted 4 months, and no, forget about getting half of my coins back.

It was like 0.001......0.00001.......0.00000001......then nothing

Poof, bye bye 0.8 BTC

Then I diversified some money, like US$4000 into bnktothefuture, their plan very straightforward.

1/3 goes to cloud mining (haha reality haven't hit back then)

1/3 goes to hodling Bitcoin

1/3 goes to buying up a bunch of Bitcoin related companies

Same story, 0.0001.....0.00001......0.000001 and poof

Only Bitcoin core holding and some shares went up big time, barely covering that $390,000 fcuk up
Any more questions?
*
Thanks for sharing. Don't think going to involve in cloud mining then.

Bitcoin related companies? Means?

OMG!! Unbelievably ETH!! I am laughing to the banks!

Q: (assuming suddenly all coins are seriously going down) what is your plan to cash out? I am thinking of transferring to CEX.IO to sell and get USD back. Any better suggestion?

I have RM10k there but I can't withdraw as it is still in level 1. Have submitted IC.

Not sure when they can check and verify me.  cry.gif

If the balance could be transferred, it would be good.

You should tell me earlier so I sell my BTC to you.

unfortunately too late..

I guess Luno is having overwhelming request as well hence the slowness experienced.

Don't refer to polo's USDT price, it's 1.03 1.05 now.

Check Gemini, GDAX and Coinhako for a better comparison.

oh ya forgot Polo is USDT
Anyway I just closed my eyes and bought on Luno, if think too much then ended up buying nothing

I found a way to earn 4% to 5% if you have account in Gemini and CEX.IO.
You can buy cheap at Gemini then transfer the coins to CEX.IO to sell at premium.

Lets take 1 ETH as an example.
Currently Gemini buying price USD $351 while CEX.IO selling price is USD $380.
The difference between buy and sell is usd 29. After minus forex loses, transactions fees and using DBS 0% remit, you can earn about usd 14 (4% of your $351 investment)

If you use is on multiplier of 10 ETH, your profit will be $140 for $3510 investment.
When you buy at Gemini, instantly transfer to CEX.IO to sell. The time between buying and selling is about 14 minutes apart including transfer time between 2 exchanges. It reduce the risk for the coin price fluctuation and you earned minimum 4%.
It can be done to bitcoins also. Both ETH and bitcoins can achieve 4% earning between both exchanges.

Do this trigger any suspicion or alarm bell on my bank account because of incoming and outgoing fund flowing through my account once per day? I scared my bank account will aroused suspicion on money laundering or illegal activities.

Anyone with same experience before?

Does this has to be owning DBS (SG) bank account? Without only MY bank account can do?

Another Q: why not send ETH/BTC directly from Gemini to CEX.IO in this case? Supposely can "earn" more?

Updated with Bifinex as an example.

It is possible to earn 8% if you have account in Bifinex  and CEX.IO.

Lets take 1 ETH as an example. (in USD)
Bifinex buying $336
CEX.IO selling $376
Profit $40 (12% of your $336)

Minus
if using DBS 0% Remittance fees - 0% (depend on your bank remittance rate to wire transfer to Bifinex USA account)
Forex losses - 1.5%
BTC/ETH transmission fees from Bifinex to CEX.IO - 0.5%
Buying and selling fees at both exchanges 1%
CEX.IO Visa and Mastercard Withdrawal fees to your bank account 1.2% +usd $3.80

Net Profit 7.8% ($26)

The $3.80 is negligible if your investment is big amount.

If you use is on multiplier of 10 ETH, your profit will be $256.20 ($260-$3.80) for $3360 investment.  rclxm9.gif

I am in the midst of applying for Bifinex account since it is cheaper than Gemini.

got it. if SG bank has 0% remit still probably can earn money like that
MY bank foreign TT at least USD 25/transaction, minus all those fees left nothing, unless capital big

Wow. The latest TenX AMA is very impressive.

So it's HOURLY payouts, you can hold PAY tokens outside of TenX wallet and manually withdraw the payouts, or you keep PAY tokens in TenX wallets and hourly ETH dividends can be spent without any fees!

Damn this is something else. This is something special indeed. Nice to know ATM withdrawal fee is only $2.75 from them, no need to bother with money changers with overseas holidays.

Shower thoughts, assume price of ETH corrects now, say it stays below $150. TenX card users still need to spend as usual, just with other stablecoins like DGX, so now it's more ETH dividend until price resumes its rise. Effectively an awesome hedge against other cryptos.

Mindblown

So the token sale is going to start on 24 June?

Yeah, but take note of the token lockout until August, which is Bitcoin fork month, take note of this token for now.
It's a very decent hedge, I really don't see much downside from hodling long term, there is a real need for crypto spending these days.

Once my limited edition card arrives on August, I'm deactivating my last UOB debit card, going to spend everything using ETH until DGX is available.
Can buy from panic sellers after it gets listed at exchanges on August, this is a rare chance to have an ETH hedge token.
*
More Qs:

1. Is 1ETH will give you 350 or 200 TOKENS? From this website it says 200:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1953612.0

2. Did some research and found that the debit/credit card stores crypto however let's say I am in AU and I can use the card and the card can convert crypto (e.g., ETH) directly to AUD for spending?

https://www.inc.com/brian-d-evans/cryptocur...e-millions.html

3. TenX = name of project?
PAY = name of cryptocurrency?
TOKENS = PAY tokens?

4. So if I buy the TOKENS with some ETH then I will get the TOKENS. and what is the potential return?

Sigh my initial aim for crypto is to only buy and hold ETH cause I don't have time to bother about the ups and downs. Now that the more I read this thread the more things I want to involve hence spending me more time cry.gif

brushed metal limited edition cards for 25 ETH and above, 750 are up for grabs. apart from that, maybe there's the slight chance of the tokens going parabolic and instant 2x upon listing.
1 ETH = 420 PAY for first 24 hours, rest assured this'll end under 30 minutes. lucky ICO guys are getting better deals than presale people.

anything that accepts Visa and Mastercard you can pay with crypto. can go Aussie bank and withdraw AUD too.

TenX is the company based in Singapore, current business model is the debit cards, but the biggest revenue potential lies with

Cryptographically secure
Offchain
Multi-asset
Instant
Transfer network

COMIT. allowing any blockchain to transact with each other via time locked, multisig smart contracts, and liquidity providers.

We refer Ethereum based minted coins as tokens, PAY is the token that TenX uses.

the returns are highly dependent upon customer and transaction growth, 0.5% of all transaction volume will be paid out hourly to all token holders in ETH.
*
Thanks for the information, really appreciate that.

SG based company somehow gives me confidence

So the pre-sale has ended, which you have already involved?

The next is the sale which starts on 24 June 9PM, and the first 24 hour will get 20% bonus, i.e., 1ETH = 420 TOKENS

So let's say I bought 2 ETH = 840 TOKENS and they can be stored in my MEW?

And also the cards, if only purchase few ETH then we have to order the card?

About 0.5% TOKENS to all holders, that means if more people spend, the holder will receive ETH in reward? Really? How they get the ETH?

Digix is currently undergoing security audit for their final release, we are expecting DGX (1 DGX = 1 gram gold)  being tradable around September.

Yes, I have allocated a portion of ETH for shopping and paying bills. Once Digix goes live it'll be converted to DGX, and eventually Maker DAI hopefully next year.
Yeah, I bought 375 ETH worth. Really solid team and very transparent, check out their TenX Vlogs.

TenX has three types of physical cards, the standard plastic ones can be ordered starting Tuesday, $15 each including shipping.

If you contribute 25 ETH or above in the presale or ICO, the first 1000 people will be entitled to a brushed metal TenX card. No functionality differences compared to standard.

If you're related to a Datuk and contribute 1250 ETH(!) in the presale or ICO, the first 50 people will be entitled to an exclusive card which comes with priority access to airport lounge, insurance and other perks.

Yes, every hour all token holders will be given payouts based on the global transaction volume, they can manually interact with contract to withdraw outside of TenX wallet, or keep PAY tokens in TenX wallet and have access to those ETH dividends without fees.
Alas. Founders edition could've been a reality had I avoided Bnktothefuture, thats okay.

It's just a card. Better focus on accumulating cheap PAY before people know its potential
https://www.smithandcrown.com/icos/
50% crypto of choice, 50% cash ready for August shopping season.
*
Even 25 ETH is a lot.. So regret didn't have enough bravery to buy more ETH when it was ~0.015 BTC, I was too scared to top up at that time cry.gif

I have read through the FAQ and it says SG or US citizens cannot take part?? Weird, I thought it is a SG based company

Also for now since it is 1 PAY = 1/350 ETH, so I can say that the this period 1 PAY ~ 1 USD?

And later in Aug when it is listed which we don't know how much valuable is it until then?

So the return can be in: the appreciation of PAY once it is listed, and if I choose not to sell and hold PAY, then I will receive dividend hourly?

Sorry for being sceptical but does it sound too good to be true?

Possibly but it is unlikely we are seeing this in the regional market where credit is easily available and readily attractive.
The AMA video on Saturday kind of allude that the trial test in Singapore had disappointing spending patterns.

Curious if this would change significantly with the sales of their card for a start.

Really? you saw the AMA? but the project got Vitalik as one of the investor

that's correct.

remember, the target demographic of TenX cards isn't people already used to Visa/Mastercard, but the ones without access to a bank.
SG has regulations against such crowdsales, but I'm sure most will either buy through exchanges or utilize VPNs.

there's a 20% bonus for first 24 hours, so it's 420 PAY per ETH.

You can thank UASF for the August uncertainties. the token value will ultimately based on 200,000 ETH raised in the short term.

that's correct, when the platform matures, and if crypto goes into massive correction, price of PAY would be the one dropping the least if not staying still, cause it means more ETH being bought every hour to be distributed.
You see, I'm an OG holder, I bought my first ETH at $4.50, that's 83x profit today. it's good financial decision to take profit as the price inches higher and higher, so I do it in the form of property purchases, portfolio adjustment, and crypto spending.

for newcomers who bought at $300~380 price, of course they shouldn't spend their ETH just yet. they could help contribute to the total transaction volume and earn PAY token by purchasing some gold tokens (DGX) using fiat and spend it on essentials, gold only moved 0.30% this past month, that's a good hedge against the depreciating fiat of some countries like Venezuela. The utility of such card is there.
yeah, the gold token would save failing currencies and preserve their spending power, I really really hope their code audit gets done soon.

Quite interested to buy some but paying dividend hourly seems too good to be true..
