Hi guys, I have read Bitcoin news for the past several month but now is the time I want to start buying and HODL for real. I have read everything on first page but still have few questions.

My aim is to buy bitcoin and HODL. There are things like private key, bitcoin wallet and I am confused by it. I just downloaded blockchain app on my mobile and created an email and it gave me a bitcoin wallet ID and the long string code starting with 1H41na2.... Is it enough to have this app alone only if I want to buy and sell bitcoins or do I need any other app or wallet?

Why not go for paper wallet or hardware wallet? So much safer that way - since you are going to keep it. There have been few missing BTC cases happened in Blockchain.info forthe past 2 weeks.
*
I will buy hardware wallet once I own some bitcoin.

Now I am a bit confused with localbitcoins and blockchain app. 3 years ago I registered an email (lets call it abc@yahoo.com) with localbitcoins website and I got this bitcoin address (187Da8....), and I used to mine with this address so I got some bitcoin left in there.

And now I just downloaded the blockchain app and I registered a new account with the same email (abc@yahoo.com) and it gave me a totally new bitcoin address (1H41na2......).

Now my question is can I use this new bitcoin address on my localbitcoins email? Or the other way round, I use the old bitcoin address in my blockchain app.

Your email address has absolutely nothing to do with your cryptocurrency wallets, except for verification.
You can use the same email address to register on various different platforms, and each will give you a unique wallet.
Cryptocurrency wallets are not tied to any particular email addresses.

So what is the thing that determines my bitcoin wallet or account? The seed?

Jack bro,

All paper wallet are the same. Paper wallet is generated off line and kept off line, so the chances of it being hacked/compromised is almost zero. Unless of course you lose your paper wallet. Just print out a few copies and laminate for long term hodling. Applicable to a lot of other coins too like Dash, LTC etc.

They update your deposit even on weekends. You don't have to wait until Monday.

Oh. I received my deposit now. Do you always use Instant buy or go to exchange? I realised that for exchange I can put 1 BTC to whatever amount in RM I want, but if i put too low no one will sell to me isit?

Ok. So I just tried depositing Rm50 into Luno. Then bought 0.00165 of BTC for RM49.86 just for testing. Was about to send all my btc to my electrum wallet and then i saw this dynamic fee of 0.00122 BTC. Wow, that is like almost 75% of my bitcoin. And this fee is 8 times higher than Localbitcoins sending fee. And there is no way to adjust the fee so I do not send bitcoin to my electrum wallet yet. Gonna buy more BTC in Luno before I send it to my electrum wallet since no matter how much bitcoin you send you are charged about the same for miner fee.

Any Luno users do the same here or keep their bitcoin in Luno ?

yeah. now i know why more people want bitcoin cash and segwit2x.

Anyway, the 'receiving address' of my Luno wallet cant be tracked on blockchain.info isit? I have bitcoin in my Luno wallet but it shows 0 on blockchain and just want to know if this is normal

The dynamic fee is higher on weekdays, lower on weekends. But if RM 50 then better just keep in the exchange.  I just check, mine is 0.00111
*
Just checked right now as at 10.30am Saturday. Dynamic fee is 0.001287. guess not much difference

Anyone notice that Bithumb.com, the largest volume for Korean exchange for BHC was down for 1 hour plus?

Did u sent all BTC one shot?
There is a way to send BTC without any fee from luno, that is send all and don't leave any balance. Fee is charge if u have balance on luno.

Btw, there is risk as ur transaction might stuck for days!!
*
Example if I got 1 full BTC in Luno. I want to send to my electrum wallet. I send 1 BTC and it shows mining fee as 0.012 and if I proceed to send anyway it means I don't pay mining fee and my electrum wallet will still receive 1 BTC but it may takes days to receive right. Maybe I can try to send 0.9999 BTC so in other words I am paying only 0.0001 BTC for mining fee so it is not dynamic fee anymore and is like low priority fee.

Correct, you do not need to care the fee shown if you are sending ALL BTC one shot.
Yes, you may try leave some balance for the fee.

*dun bcos of the fee and miss the rocket*
*
Nice. Will try soon. Since the dynamic fee is expensive so I still keep my bitcoin in Luno.
