No, if you take a look, it went up to 275k sat yesterday and dropped back to 225k. That's a 22% loss if you entered at its peak. Holding bitcoin and knowing when is a good price to buy altcoins is an essential if you want to profit. Which is why it's best if you have your own account and trade according to your gut feeling/research.

Rarely any coins go 5x over a week (except few very rare occasions). You're not missing out anything by coming in late, there's still plenty of opportunities.

EDIT: the safest choice I would recommend is bitcoin itself. If bitcoin goes up, so will other altcoins. If bitcoin crashes, other altcoins will crash even harder.

PoS is proof of stake as opposed to mining which is proof of work (PoF), google it.

I think the main coins to mine right now are litecoin, bitcoin, and maybe dash and zcash. If you're going to mine using GPUs, check out coingecko.com which recommends u the best coins to mine based on profitability. But the ones I mentioned above are the stable ones.

Gonna leave some money in CVC see how it turns out overnight. Closed all my other positions. Overall can't say trading made me more money then I would have if I had HODLed for the whole day. But I did enter CVC at 47 cents in the morning and closed earlier at 62 cents which was rewarding.

You don't really look at the fiat value. The value of alt coins is tied to BTC not fiat. So say NEO is worth 0.008 btc now, if BTC value goes up from 3400 to 3700, NEO will still be worth 0.008 btc.

It may go down temporarily, but as soon as people realise that NEO is below 0.008 btc, say 0.0075, they'll see that its undervalued and buy it until its value at 0.008 btc is restored.

On a side note, NXS is an interesting one, volume increased by 5 fold since last night, chart seems to be forming a pennant. I got in at 1.44 last night and took profit at 1.68. But looks like it might go higher.

Anyway I re-entered OMG, anticipating a rise this week as well.

It's just extremely overpriced at the moment. I can't get into it without worrying it'll come crashing down anytime soon, which is why I'd rather stay away.

It promises users 0.5% of the sales it transacts as dividends. Which makes the token basically useless except as a proof of share to the dividends. To justify its current price at the moment, it needs to transact at least 5 billion dollars of transaction each year. Guess how much did it transact last month? 10 million. I'm not saying it won't reach those levels, but it's still a long way from that

Beats me, I was right but I can't find any reason for the rise. NXS has increased its volume 8 fold over 2 days and price broke $2 overnight. It was just 1.12 last week.
