Ah... good point! Didn't think of that haha.

Yup. Mainly for security of your coins. Better to hold in a few devices rather than just one if you are holding high value coins. Just remember that if your device get spoilt, you can just buy a new one and use the recovery seed to get back the coins. If you also lose you recovery seed, then say bye bye to your coins .

With multiple devices you are more reassured that if something unforseen were to happen to one device where you cannot recover the coins, you still have other coins safe in other devices.

In addition, ledger and Trezor support different types of coins. At the moment, ledger has roll out more coin support compared to Trezor.

r u familiar with bringing in the ledger nano s into malaysia? does it need SIRIM cert or whatsoever? or will it get through the customs without any quiries? tq
*
No need. Just order from their website and wait happily for the item to reach your doorstep!

QUOTE(Gss2k @ Nov 24 2017, 02:30 PM)
There is a 4 coin/app limit. so people buy more.

Oh ya, that too. For ledger nano s in particular.

every day around 5~10bil come into crypto~

What? Already?

I'm happy to be part of this bull run, able to witness market cap increase 30 billion to 300 billion in less than a year. My only regret is that I had to limit my crypto investments portfolio to 10% only but no regrets really.... just enjoying the bullrun. Hope to see 1 trillion in the near future. smile.gif

Just dare or not. As long as you can assing 1cent to a single satoshi, it has the potential to grow higher. A lot of my friends just complain that it would be nice if they had entered earlier this year, but just sigh when it hit MYR 10k, 20k, 30k and now 40k.

Yeah, considering the amount of investible money in this world, we should still be at the infancy stage..... or maybe already toddler stage. biggrin.gif I sure hope so!!!

Not good ler. I should have whack 50% then only millionaire. biggrin.gif

When it comes to financial issues, I'm always careful and usually force myself to be discipline. In this case, that WAS a bad thing but oh well..... some profit is better than none!!!

Hmmm... will market crash when BTC reaches 10k?

Ah yes, how careless of me.
Well, according to the number found in the Ledger's confirmation email, the item has just left Hong Kong.
Don't expect I'll be getting it until Thursday, I suppose.

You received confirmation email? I didn't receive anything!

You didn't get a confirmation email from Ledger after you completed the payment?
You should have received an email with the title "Thank you for your order".
There's a link in that email for you to view your order, and on that page, you can find the shipment tracking number.
*
Nope, nothing. I have emailed support. See whether can get confirmation.

You are not the only one bro, I have emailed them too and this was an automated reply that I got :

The only thing which I received was my invoice after placing my order but no confirmation email.

Same same. I think they are still sleeping in France. sad.gif

QUOTE(wengherng @ Nov 28 2017, 02:32 PM)
Your invoice *is* the confirmation email.
In that invoice, you should see a link to Ledger website for you to view your order.
That's where you can see the shipment number for tracking.
*
It was just a confirmation invoice shown after completing the online purchase. There was no invoice thru email. Oh well, will wait for support to reply.

Hi guys,

Wanna ask something regarding ledger nano s.

If wanna transfer OMG out from the ledger, we need to have ETH as transaction fees right?

Problem is I don't have any ETH. How much ETH is charged per transaction normally?

Thanks ya.
*
I transferred OMG from Poloniex to my ledger, gas used was 37,222 and tx cost was 0.001563324 ETH seen on the ETH blockchain.

This doesn't include the Poloniex's charges though. I guess you won't get additional exchanges charges if you transfer out from ledger.

I only look at Poloniex. Too many exchanges to follow prices. Bitcoin price on Zimbabwe exchanges was previously at 13k. tongue.gif

Did you pay the tax already? The Courier company will pay on behalf of you first. Then once you pay them the tax only they will send you the wallet.

In my case, it's DHL. They paid the tax for me first. Try check your email see or sms.

Anyway, I have an extra Ledger Nano S (ready stock) willing to let go. PM me with offer if interested.
*
Not sure about the tax on my items although I have heard of courier company collecting the tax on your behalf like in your case.

Previously, I ordered one Trezor and one ledger from overseas and no customs tax for one item. This time I ordered two ledger. Hope won't get taxed!

I look at Bitfinex and Binance, and sometimes Coinbase cause for some reason Luno user pattern follows Coinbase.

13k? I thought newsflash earlier 17k  drool.gif .

icon_question.gif Too deep into crypto now.
*
Dunno. The news I read was 13k but I'm not too concern about short-term price differences. However, if you want to see the overall prices on different exchanges, can use this : https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/bitcoin/#markets

I bought 6. Tax is around RM150

Anyway, you can always call DHL 1800 number to check. Their customer service is top notch.  cool2.gif
*
Oh, so roughly RM25 per piece average. It's ok, I don't mind a bit of tax, if there is one. In the grand scheme of cryptos, it is a small price to pay for the security of our coins. smile.gif
