QUOTE(b0rhui @ Jun 27 2017, 12:21 AM) As of now a BTC is priced at 11.4k on Luno. ETH is currently trading for about 0.98btc on polo/trex/cex. Haha I got lost halfway through your calculations, I'm looking to get cheap ETH. Not sure whether it is cheaper to buy btc from Luno, then send to polo to convert to ETH or to buy directly from cex.io~ 1.11k If you buy directly from CEX it's 243USD ~ 1042 (conversion rate may differ from bank to bank) + transaction fees *Sorry it aint clear if you're looking for ETH or BTC |

QUOTE(WooTz @ Jun 27 2017, 06:42 AM) Oh. Because I have most of my ANS on the desktop windows client. So is it ok for me to keep it there for now? Transfer to the new client when it is available?By the way, thank you for always being so helpful around here bro. I couldn't find a lot of news on ANS on my own so I really appreciate you helping out. |

QUOTE(WooTz @ Jun 27 2017, 04:41 PM) Mostly fear, and that all it took. I saw this too yesterday and even went to sign up for an account on HitBTC. The wallet isn't working though, so I have no idea how are these people trading. Besides, from what I know, the PAY tokens cannot be transferred until August right? The Vitalik fake news, flash crash and surprise bailout. Fear of scam ICOs dumping all ETH at once. And lack of news from EEA. Anytime now, it's time to be greedy for once. Place more strategic orders until then. https://hitbtc.com/exchange/PAY-to-ETH In other news, people already trading PAY IOUs at 40x price, lol I think it'll be more like 3x for now. Glad to see they sold out on regular cards too. This post has been edited by dc_talkz: Jun 27 2017, 07:12 PM |

QUOTE(1wildcat1 @ Jun 27 2017, 06:23 PM) I've learned that cex.io with credit card is still cheaper than luno and LBC. Just sharing the information Not necessarily. I tried calculating the amount of ETH I would get with a certain amount compared to buying BTC from Luno then sending over to exchanges to buy ETH. The amount is quite significant if you're purchasing huge volumes. But I tend to agree that most of the time, Cex.io's prices may be a tad bit cheaper. It's best to always calculate if you're going to make a big purchase. Just my 2 cents |

QUOTE(heavensea @ Jun 27 2017, 07:50 PM) Lol the cex io selling: Wasn't that my point? That it is not necessarily cheaper to use Cex.io. Read carefully.1 eth=usd270 1 btc=usd2728 (2728x4.3=RM11730) Luno=RM115xx Localbit=RM116xx-11800 What's so special with cex io? Not to mention about the cc charges / malai bank ridiculous conversion rate? QUOTE(jack2 @ Jun 27 2017, 09:01 PM) No need to get personal. Firstly, I suggest you read what I said before jumping into conclusions. Secondly, while I agree that you're probably quite good at maths (considering the consistent cut-throat rates you're offering your customers), you don't know me well enough to comment on my past or present achievements. |

QUOTE(roy_zu @ Jun 27 2017, 10:36 PM) That's why buying at cex.io is always depends on buyer. Now BTC in cex is 2445. After 2.5% CC chargers and convertion rate of 4.3, u will be paying somewhere around 10800. Luno at 11200 now. Do the math. If any resellers here willing to give cex trade price with all the CC chargers and convertion rate, more than willing to buy Yah, that's exactly why I said it's not "necessarily" cheaper. Meaning it could be cheaper, or it could be more expensive. It depends on the flow of the market. There are times when the Luno route would be cheaper and there are times when cex.io would be cheaper. |

I'm wishfully hoping that this last a little bit longer as I'm slowly accumulating. My FD will mature soon, I am planning to gobble up more if the price is still low.I need more time to build up my stash. So many discount sales, so little money...... |

Quick question. We all know that Bittrex charges 1 ANS for every withdrawal of ANS from the exchange. But will it cost me 1 ANS to deposit ANS back into bittrex?
This 1 ANS fee is pretty ridiculous |

QUOTE(TheConqueror @ Jun 29 2017, 10:22 AM) Then do you guys not worry to transfer money to local bank and then government claim it is illegal? I think I've been told several times to not make transactions above RM50k at any one time to prevent alerting the banks. Just split your transactions to less than 50k to avoid prying eyes if you want to be safeAny maximum transaction limit before the government or bank start the query? Or any tricks or precaution I should take during the transaction? Please advise From, Crytocurrency Newbie This post has been edited by dc_talkz: Jun 29 2017, 10:26 AM |

QUOTE(kmarc @ Jun 29 2017, 10:47 AM) From their description, yes, looks like only siacoin. I did some reading as well previously and my problem is not with the pricing of USD 2500 but the lock up period; the product won't arrive until June 2018 if memory serves. I mean many of things could happen from now till then and only yesterday I read that ASUS will be releasing a special mining card specifically for mining. Still, it depends on your intentions as well, if you're an SC believer and wishes to support the network while making some passive profits, I guess long-term this could be a sound investment. Just curious though, are mining rigs difficult to purchase in Malaysia? I know that there is an issue with GPUs availability in countries where cryptos are huge; not too sure about Malaysia though. For me, I'm planning to buy one as I have confidence with siacoin and this is sort of an investment decision AND also because the money comes from my profits in cryptos so it is still not that bad. Sort of like supporting the network. I guess it is not a good option for those who wants to switch halfway. No joke dumping in USD 2500 at one shot. QUOTE(kmarc @ Jun 29 2017, 11:16 AM) Yeah, that's one of the teething issue. A long waiting time where nobody knows what will happen. June 2018 is the latest, they mentioned earlier shipping if possible. However, As it is an ASIC miner, no mini GPU farms can fight it. The website actually showed one ASIC equivalent to 100 GPUs. Overestimated of course.... Haha. Maybe one of these days I might have to go scavenge for GPUs around KL. If there aren't any, then I'll report back to you and you can consider starting a small business shipping GPUs across the South China Sea Not too sure about acquiring miners in Malaysia as I'm in Sarawak. In Sarawak, everything also relatively difficult to get! Actually got lots of GPUs like 1060 to 1080 in local shops here. RX series no more. Who wants to come to Sibu to grab them? |

QUOTE(Ash1988 @ Jun 29 2017, 11:36 AM) Just wait a little longer like late next month / early Aug when the new mining cards are out. Owh, thanks for the info man. Pretty sure those will sell like hotcakes once available. Probably need to start making pre-orders now?The Nvidia P106 has higher megahash rate and on par with RX580 producing 25mhs. Since its not gaming card it has lower watt too from what I heard. |

QUOTE(kmarc @ Jun 29 2017, 03:24 PM) Obelisk is the company that will produce the obelisk siacoin ASIC miner. A miner solely made for siacoin and can't be used for any other coin. Costing USD 2500 that needs to be preorder and paid in full these few days (preorders already open). The miner is still on the drawing board (!) and ETA latest June 2018. June is a conservative estimate and they hope to ship earlier. Haha yea, I read some nasty comments about them being sketchy for choosing BTC as payment instead of fiat, thereby getting away with Consumer Protection laws. Still, I used to be rather active in the Sia community, and if there is anything I could take from that is that the core team consists of generally nice and trustworthy people. It is like you said though, really at the end of the day it's about having faith - something you don't find very often when huge sums of money is involved. Blind faith however, that's in abundant especially when you have people Suppoman and his army of devoutees.Their main purpose is to strengthen the network and decentralize miners, among other things. Whoever preorder the miner is actually putting a lot of faith that it will be delivered as planned. Anything can happen in one year..... the one advantage is that if you do get the first batch of miners, you will get the advantage of being able to earn more coins, something like ROI in one to two months at current prices. Of course, the final specs is still not out yet. Again, need a lot of faith... This post has been edited by dc_talkz: Jun 29 2017, 04:12 PM |
