Not gonna wait for Luno to support Ether. I have already applied for Singaporean bank account. If approve, I will go for Coinbase. They support Bitcoin, Ether & Litecoin
Well said, AllnGap  thumbsup.gif

by right... profit from trading crypto should be considered equally like capital again. Malaysia doesn't tax capital gain. Singapore doesn't. Australia does.

I would still like to point out that the statement is still vague in nature. Perhaps when are actually closer to 2018 then there is a set of rules.

Maybe, withdrawal 5k per mth non taxable? above 5k withdrawal subject to GST + TAX etc etc... just speculating.

luno ada. go go. BTC or ETH only.

QUOTE(scorptim @ Dec 5 2017, 03:21 PM)
Crypto kitties is the epitome of madness. Just gonna make crypto look like a scam.

Seriously what is wrong with people...
*
doesn't make sense to own a digital kitty that can't do anything.

i actually got an idea.

1. buy 1 kitty
2. pimp it for breeding out real cheap at 0.001 ETH
3. repeat step 2
4. ???
5. ETH passive

Thank you for your reply sir/mdm. hehe
other than luno? i just want to do more research on btc websites before investing.

Is Luno safe?
*
for malaysians, the most user friendly is luno. but luno ain't a wallet. there are an exchange. can consider copay.

QUOTE(Sammy6 @ Dec 5 2017, 05:45 PM)

so can i keep my btc in luno?
*
yea sure. but as another forumer suggested, they have your private key as the wallet is controlled by luno.

but i think if it's just a small amount that you want to experiment, then go ahead. i did store some btc's in luno wallet for almost a year thou cause not sure what to do with it.

Ouch. Even if they hack themselves and transfer the bitcoins to another wallet, nobody will know. Just say sorry to contributors and bye bye!
*
i think some redditor managed to track the single address that all the NH BTC deposited into. can't recall whats the address. but a single address with 4700+ BTC.

I'm curious how the hacker will spend the hacked BTC without being identified by an exchange since you have to submit your ID. Unless he uses a decentralized exchange, but he probably can't spend all in one transaction due to low liquidity.
*
yup. im thinking the same as well. that 4700+ BTC is only worth once it is cashed out.

does it mean i have to transfer the fund out of luno in order to keep it in an offline wallet?
*
yes. for security, you need to transfer btc (for example) luno to your offline wallet where you keep the number seeds.

how about the blockchain.info app? is it good for short to medium term storage?
*
the most secure is cold storage offline wallet at the moment. i think blockchain.info gives out the 24 or 12 seed words so i think its okay. im not security expert. blush.gif

QUOTE(OcHaa @ Dec 7 2017, 05:02 PM)
so once i do that, the btc will no longer be in luno? or where will the btc be?
*
the btc can be viewed inside the offline wallet that you transferred into.

QUOTE(charlescheesepie @ Dec 7 2017, 05:14 PM)
slowly slowly transfer then cash out i guess.
*
but the moment that fella transfer to an account which contains his/her KYC details... then the victims can file a report and liase with the wallet/exchange. maybe.

the fella can transfer to another wallet then transfer to the exchange ? or will this be publicly transparent ?
*
if u have the wallet address, just key in into blockchain. you will be able to see the transactions incur for this particular address.
