Should I sell BCC at lost now and invest in ANS instead?

What do you think?
*
How are you at a loss for BCC? Didn't you get it for free? Or you bought when it was listed like me? Like what Flame Haze said, I'd get out from BCC if I were you. Scam or not, I'm just not very certain the direction this coin is heading. Will see in future.

NEO has already started to rally, I'm already about 20+% up now so unless it dips below my conditional sell orders I'm just going to leave it there to ride the wave for the next few days. I heard that there could be something going on soon though rolleyes.gif ~ Disclaimer: don't take my word for it! I'm not giving investment advice.

QUOTE(Flame Haze @ Aug 4 2017, 09:12 AM)
I don't agree with chasing missed profits. If you always buy when price is up and sell when price is down, how are you going to profit? That being said, when ANS went from $1 to $3 I stayed out, ended up being $9  doh.gif

That being said, BCC is a Ponzi scam and I advise people to get out as soon as possible.

Take my advice with a pinch of salt, I'm not responsible for your loss/gains on investment.

2 months kay. few days 5x I can be whale liao. now at 1.6 coz caught in the red sea last time  ranting.gif

I'm in NEO atm for short term gains, up 20% as well but long term wise my portfolio is BTC, WAVE and FCT. Might add NEO for long term but it's extremely hyped which I don't like.
*
Well, the bulk of my NEO was bought when bro Wootz was still around (God bless his soul, wouldn't have delved into it if wasn't for him). Since then I've been accumulating at the $4-5 mark and kept them frozen in my desktop wallet. Just bought some more yesterday for short term gains - trading on the exchange. I will be selling after I find an exit point. You're right, it's a little overhyped at the moment but we'll see, after witnessing the BCH rally, I wouldn't dare say I know whats going to happen anymore. Crypto is a wild and untamed beast. mega_shok.gif

By the way, I went into stratis for the first time a few days ago, I know you like trading stratis right? Oh yeah, I was looking at wave also but it just suddenly went skyrocket before I could enter. You've made a killing I reckon? rclxms.gif I'm currently having my eyes on Qtum, Civic, DNT, and TenX (no entry points yet). All for short term gains. Long term I have Neo, LTC (getting from mining lol), ETH, and some PAY in case I'll be using their debit card later.

Sorry noob here, how do you normally puchase your NEO..just starting here...use LUNO to buy BTC and then buy NEO?
*
1) Buy BTC - via Luno or any other exchanges/sources you are comfortable with

2) Send your BTC over to https://www.bittrex.com/ OR https://www.binance.com/ (make sure you register an account first then send to your BTC wallet in the exchanges)

3) Choose BTC/NEO or BTC/ANS (it's still ANS in Bittrex) and start buying or selling.

AFAIK there's some news on 8th and 10th August regarding the ANS rebranding:

August 8th:
NEOs 1st ICO anniversary, migration to NEO finalised, launch of SmartContract platform <----taken from reddit

August 10th:
NEO and blockchain-labo.jp meetup in Tokyo. Roger Ver and Tomoaki Sato are confirmed to attend. Vitalik was rumoured to attend too but got removed now.

Previously the Chinese government has shown strong interest in NEO but we're seeing signs of partnership now as NEO tweeted yesterday that they're partnering with certificate authorities in China ---> https://twitter.com/NEO_Blockchain/status/893147595274690560

Might wait a week or two to sell off, doubt we will see a correction back to $8.85 (I got in here so will profit anyway). Don't want to miss the top, I got in on OMG 2 weeks ago at 85cents and sold at $1.2 (It's 1.97 now  ranting.gif  ranting.gif )

I haven't been following FCT for awhile but I do think that it has massive potential. Having been endorsed by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation is something.

Have you tried Binance yourself?
How is it in terms of user experience?
I might consider it as part of my plan to diversify my online exchange holdings.
*
Yep. But I only use them for NEO though, simply because I heard that they will be trading ANC/GAS there. It's clean and easy to use. I like that you can enlarge the chart but I'd like it more if it's candlesticks. Not many coins right now but they are going to be adding 4 more coins soon.

QUOTE(jack2 @ Aug 4 2017, 10:33 AM)
Just visited Binance and they have NEO and withdrawal to NEO is free.

It seems it is better to trade/buy NEO from there other than Bittrex as Bittrex has withdrawal fee.
*
Yep, and previously they said that if you keep your NEO on their exchanges, they will automatically deposit your ANC/GAS to you.

Think you got it backwards. Thai McDonalds using OMG not TenX.

McDonalds Thailand may be using OMG, but TenX PAY can be used anywhere in the world that accepts Visa or MasterCard.
And that's a huge incentive.
Especially for people living in currency-controlled countries who need to go abroad.
*
Wasn't arguing against that. Just correcting the facts. I've been hodling PAY since the ICO myself, so I'm a huge believer too. Though if McDonalds does start accepting OMG as one of their payment methods, the temporary adoption will surely surpass TenX's. The reality is, not many people are buying cryptos to spend but rather they are buying as an investment.

Why HOLD when you can sell partially for profit and re-enter during dip? Everyone have their own investment strategy. Moreover, this is crypto investment with absolute craziness. No point cheering for paper profit.
*
Your generalization baffles me but for the sake of clarity, I shall respond.
I did not say HOLD until kingdom come! Instead for us swing traders, it's always a question of timing. Knowing when are the best entry and exit points. Why did I say Hold? Because the bull run has only just begun back then but there were a few bros who wanted to sell for quick profit. There is a reason for this rally and if you bothered doing your homework you would have known it already and planned ahead of time to maximize your profit.

If going by your logic then you ought to have sold your cryptos few hours and at every 10% increase? And wait for a 50% dip to re-enter, because hey we know that in crypto the dip is always far greater than the rise right? Remind me again why are you into crypto then? But well, you're right, a profit is a profit and since you're happy with it, by all means, who am I to judge because like you say everyone has his/her own investment strategies so to each his own.

My views only based on my strategy. When I initially started this investment, I did HODL during previous bull runs. Sometimes, when I want to re-enter and ask for opinion here, some give advice like, "still good to enter, long way to go, still cheap". So, when the market suddenly crash, I lost paper profit, and lost some of new fiat investment. Eventually the market did recover. This happens almost every single time during a bull run.

So I just suggest (again, purely based on my opinion) sell some during bull run, take real profit and re-enter (if you wanted). I don't want to be very sure in my statements saying "this is just the beginning", "long way to go" sort of things and confuse new investors. Everyone should follow their own strategy and not follow the crowd.
*
And that's the reason why I never like answering questions like "what is a good coin to invest" or when is the best time to buy or sell certain coins. I don't know who you took advice from but if you haven't figured by now, there are a few types of crypto investors around. The few who likes trolling, others who like cheering "to the moon", and some who are genuinely offering valuable insights. For example there are a few bros here whose comments I take really seriously and their recommendations are treasure maps. The point I'm trying to make is, while it is easy to invest based on the strategies of others, it is also important to know the weight attached to some of these "comments" that you're reading. You're bound to lose money if you're taking investment advice from every tom dick or harry you find looming around here with their "shilling schemes". And if one were to dive right into a coin without doing proper due diligence, then sadly to say that there is no one else to blame but himself for neglect.

You have explained yourself very well there.  thumbup.gif The thing is how do you know when to exit? Profit targets? TA?
*
Some people trade on news, some trade on charts and some on instinct. I am not a born and bred fortune teller, nor am I a professional trader so some of these things are beyond me. But what I do is a mixture of everything. Read a lot, do lots of research (charts, market behaviors, and news) and place a value on the research that I've done based on experience and instincts of how the market works. And if the rally does take place, then set an exit point or in my case, I usually set a conditional sell order below the highest price. I don't mind not selling at the highest price as long as I don't miss out on the bulk of the rally (I learned this the hard way, I've sold too early on many occasions and it sucks). Also always be vigilant so as to be able to react quickly when the market takes a sudden swing. It's not rocket science really. I'm not that smart so if I can do it, anyone can as well. The issue with most people is, they want easy honey and be spoon fed all the time. So again, if you're going to just take the advice from others without proper diligence, then that's pretty much like gambling.

or better yet decentralize exchange rises and polo slowly drift off and and die a slow death, less impact on crypto currency

Just took profit at 0.11700000 sats. Chart is going parabolic and quite obvious manipulation. Was a nice quick turnover though devil.gif

EDIT: Re-enter at 0.10000000 sats. Price target to take profit = $450-500. Risks: Short term. DO NOT HODL!
