Actually what is smart contract?
*
Well it is programmable money. So u dont need people to take the money and split it to pay salary and expenses. The money split automatically. With smart contract can make exchanges that dont hold money or casino that dont hold money. Insurance that self execute when an event is triggers without calling your agent. Another good use is property, u buy and instantly agent, bank, owner, government get paid on the spot. No need people to double check paperwork. Many more example but i lazy to think.

Basically it is like flying cars, but we still using normal cars because we scared flying cars = no border check and unlimited immigration and goods come in no tax.

VPN is very hard to track (depends on the service provider). But for bank accounts, it is very easy - I have a friend who was questioned by a bank for 'suspected money laundering' because the person made so much money from crypto. Be careful with the banks...

Long term wise better than kyber n binance

If you are talking long term i think wallet to wallet dex are the future. But in the short team, we need more fiat gateways to get people in. I hope qash succeed so they will bring new money to crypto. drool.gif

QUOTE(Secruoser @ Nov 2 2017, 08:06 PM)
Today I kinda have a revelation moment, regarding Bitcoin and alts.

Some investors only trust Bitcoin and only accumulate Bitcoin as much as possible. While they may make some money from alts, they would move the profit to Bitcoin and HODL Bitcoin no matter what. To these investors, altcoins simply come and go, and none of them are worth HODLing for years compared to Bitcoin, no matter how high tech or popular they are, Bitcoin will always be the gold standard and the best store of value in crypto for long term. You will also be spared of the effort to understand an alt project so much only to have the team run out of steam, broken apart or are simply useless or scammers.

I would like to hear everyone’s opinions on this. Is that approach the best approach? Are altcoins truly sugar-coated shitcoins no matter what they do or claim to be, and not worth HODLing compared to Bitcoin down the road like 5 years, 10 years and beyond?
*
Bitcoin only usecase to me is to convert to fiat or to buy other coins. If ICO and Ether did nott exist, i would say bitcoin is just a useless pump and dump piramid/ponzi game. I was trading it during those day when it was useless. I feel like no value is being created, u are just taking money from one coin and losing in another coin. Dont even dare to tell friends you are doing it because they will think u investing in scam. At least now u are investing in actual business that will giving value to the coin you own.

I wouldn't want to bet to get the new coin.

anyway i think BTC downside is too huge. I suspect a massive sell off before the fork. stupid futures manipulation makes u think new chain is worth a lot.

Haha i think the same thing too. Good time to sell btc and buy alt/ico. I am going to jump into ico next week so i will not hold anymore btc.

Found another ICO gem that will probably get really hyped up in coming days. The mainstream media are hyping it, especially in the US. The pre-registration ends on 21st Nov and it will take approximately 2-3 days to get your details reviewed for KYC, so get in on it early. I don't usually promote ICOs but this one could be huge.

CYBERMILES ICO - https://cm.5miles.com

# Potential to be the next Amazon or Wallmart
# Cyber miles is a Decentralized Application that has th merged with the already established application, 5 Miles which is an existing and establish product/app.
# 5miles has already established itself as a Top 10 shopping app, with more than 12 million users and USD 3 billion in annual transaction value.
# A team that is highly experienced with marketplaces & e-commerce
# Led by a prominent figure - Its founding CEO, Dr. Lucas Lu, was previously a co-founder and CTO of Light In the Box, a company which went public on the NYSE, and prior to that, Lucas was the first GM of Alibaba’s Taobao Mobile platform, and was the GM of another Alibaba business unit.
# One of the most engaging e-commerce app in the US: Look at this
# Media hype - all over big media: NY times, FOX, ABC, WSJ, Forbes, CNBC and etc etc.
# Tokens/coin have great utility - CyberMiles Tokens (CMT) will the currency used to fuel the transactions and incentivize participants in the ecosystem
# Collaboration with Cobinhood
# Established since 2014 April by a world-class team from China and the US
# Received backing from top-tier investment firms such as SIG, IDG, Morningside, and Blue Lake (also possible Alibaba connections)
# Aims for commercial purposes with efficient platform to support heavy transactions. It is creating its own blockchain which will specifically cater towards commercial transactions. No more Ethereum blockchain congestions nonsense (remember how Bancor ICO crashed the ethereum blockchain?)
# KYC implemented for the ICO

Starting to see alot of establish businessman/companies doing ico. I think this will be the trend in 2018, startups will not see much money anymore if this becomes a thing.

Ok. So I just tried depositing Rm50 into Luno. Then bought 0.00165 of BTC for RM49.86 just for testing. Was about to send all my btc to my electrum wallet and then i saw this dynamic fee of 0.00122 BTC. Wow, that is like almost 75% of my bitcoin. And this fee is 8 times higher than Localbitcoins sending fee. And there is no way to adjust the fee so I do not send bitcoin to my electrum wallet yet. Gonna buy more BTC in Luno before I send it to my electrum wallet since no matter how much bitcoin you send you are charged about the same for miner fee.

Any Luno users do the same here or keep their bitcoin in Luno ?

Yeah all BTC and ALTS $$$ flowing to BCH.

Now is the time to decide... i wonder if transferring BTC to BCH when it hits 3k will be too late...

I'm still sceptic over the bull run on BCH since I didn't see any updates on their blockchain, just an huge surge of interest.

Or did I miss any news relating to BCH? (Not Segwit2x please). Care to link?
*
Well BCH just overtook bitcoin in net hashrate.

Miners flocking to BCH as its more profitable...

*
Only newbie latecomer say that. I have been in bitcoin since 2014 and bitcoin even back then was never the most profitable asic to mine. There was always other coin with less liquidity and are more profitable for medium to small scale farms. Miner dont mine for today's price of bitcoin, they mine for tomorrows price.
