It is difficult to buy cryptos using real money i.e. fiat money.

When the market crashes, most of the coins will crash including BTC. If you're just holding BTC, you will not get the benefit of buying coins at a discounted price. If you reserve some USDT, which is supposedly equivalent to USD, you will have the pseudo-fiat money to pick up coins on the cheap.

I previously reserved BTC because when BTC surges higher, altcoins take a hit. High BTC price to buy discounted altcoins. A good deal! Recently, BTC drops together with the rest, making BTC useless in this scenario. Hence the reason why it would be good to reserve some USDT too.

In short:

BTC shoot up, making altcoins bleed - use BTC to buy altcoins....
BTC drops together with altcoins - use USDT to buy all coins! drool.gif

Wow ETH market cap % is already over 30% now while BTC drops below 40%.
ETH taking over BTC is only a matter of time

Siacoin breaking out. 60-70BTC munched. Let's see whether it can break through 600.

Going to start selling a little bit if it breaks higher.

I'm no expert in this but I think it is a cryptocurrency. I consider it as pseudofiat! biggrin.gif

It is supposed to be 1 USDT to 1 USD but in certain conditions, it can go down or up but will usually hover around 1.0 ratio.
