Dont any of you find it weird that bitfinex of all exchanges has close to 100k of btc on long positions ?

Why not other bigger exchange like binance has this kind of numbers
*
Seemed like this latest 1 hour 5k btc dump most of it is from Bitfinex longs.

Not sure how true it is.

Edit: well still got 100K of btc to go, steady lads ? blush.gif

Tether mentioned they suffered ddos attack and hackers ask for ransom.

Lol how tf a decentralised coin suffered a ddos attack, and why now of all time. Something doesn't seemed right, time to do some risk management guys before they suddenly stop redemptions and all hell break loose.

Never trust weekends / non trading days trend movement.

The real indicators are when US market opens tomorrow evening. Then you will roughly know what will be the trend for the rest of the week.

Not sure where it will go tbh.

But my bet is more towards the downside. Another test of 18k during this trading week perhaps.

I was about to post something about this.
But nothing confirmed yet until I saw Binance liquidating their FTT stuff. Kinda bad look for FTX

Personally I never used FTX so not affected

This will take some time to go through the system cause its a weekend and recent bear market is causing people to react slower, but there is too much evidence going against ftx that seemed like a bank run is inevitable unless they freeze/delay withdrawal which they are doing now.

Binance bought over ftx

Basicaly binance is king of the hill already. Super freaking centralisation.

This is like goldman + morgan + jpmorgan. The irony

Nobody bail out ftx trading firm alameda. So do expect similar credit and contagion risk like 3AC but on a bigger scale cause ftx was on an acquisition spree before this

Well after all this we still have sol, blockfi, and possible margin call for microstrategy btc holdings.

Ftx left a big hole and whole lot of contagion risk.

Dirty bubble working overtime this few days. So i would suggest everyone stay on sideline for awhile.

Even stables also not safe now, better just be bitcoin or eth maxi.

Withdrawn from second tier exchanges like Kucoin atm. Just in case.

Good move. Seemed like those cex are moving funds around each other to show proof of reserve.

So surely among them sure got one will blink first and take the fund and run, which will cause massive backstabbing among CEX to occur and another drama of collapsed

Well bound to happen, just dint think it will be found out so quick.

Well thats is the benefit of blockchain.

Waiting for a bad actor to spoilt the musical chair proof of reserved party.

This is true and Im confused as well. Supposed to drop like crazy, but btc held up well. My guess is retail already long dead. Now is big shark vs big shark

Everybody is pulling out to cold wallet so meaning now basically its just wash trading between exchanges to keep the prices and market volume artificially prop up. Which is good for all cold holders as they use market price for asset value reference. If btc no reference market price i fear to know what is the real underlying value.

Crypto at the moment has very low real world utility, especially in this rising interest rate environment.

So the only thing going for binance to keep their income flowing is to essentially operate online casino and encourage speculative activities among its users high.

Yea saw this. The only explanation I can come up with is Binance is the custodian for the funds of all other exchanges.

If CZ found not clean gg entire crypto. Back to 1k BTC.

This is totally wrong, why send fund to binance, that is essentially keeping your user fund in a hot wallet and open to risk. Same as what ftx does.

Unless they are using it to trade or yield farm or something.

Anyway with ftx collapse we have a glimpse of all big cex reserved. And the amount of usdt they hold as reserved / collateral is alarming.

Just imagine if usdt is found to be less back that it potray, just a 10 - 15% depeg/haircut will send the whole industry into a crypto nuclear winter.

So just be careful if you are investing/trading with money you cannot lose.
