Just bought this:
https://www.lazada.com.my/viewsonic-vx3209-...m-29064209.html
Used it for several days, I love it. But then again my opinion might be skewed because I was upgrading from a 2011 monitor (23in Acer 230HL with DVI), and I'm no monitor expert.
I won't bother saying about the good stuff since you can look them up online reviews, but I can say some of the "I wish that..." feelings I get:
1. Depending on your sitting position, it might be too big. The manual recommends at least 45cm distance. Doesn't matter to me as I'm the sort that leans way back in my chair most of the time, but to others who sit up straight for long period you might find yourself moving your head to fully see the quadrants.
2. No USB hub, and depending your room ambiance you may wish for one to easily install additional bias lighting at the back.
3. It only comes in white.
4. It comes with two power cables: native (China?) which is white, and the traditional 3-pronged plug that we use here in Malaysia. However, that cable is black.
5. It has some tilt but no swivel or pivot, and since it's heavy (18.8kg) it might be annoying for those who are used to moving the monitor however they wish.
6. No official drivers, Windows 10 only sees it as a Generic PnP monitor. The website drivers are unhelpful. This doesn't impair my experience in any way, I have played multiple games (Prey, The Surge, Mass Effect: Andromeda, Just Cause 3), multiple browsers and programs with no problems.
7. The bottom part of the bezel might feel uncomfortably warm. I'm not sure if this a common thing with other monitors but it was something that I noticed when i running my fingers along the edge.
The small Viewsplitter program (downloaded from their site) is quite useful to quickly 'split' your screen and automatically resize multiple windows accordingly. You start the program, select on how you want to divide the screen sections. Then drag a window (eg a browser) to one section, and it will autosnap and resize into place.
Recommend 1440P monitor, 60hz
