Got an interesting question come across my mind.
If a person is brain death, it is consider dead in Christianity? It is consider death in malaysia law, how about Christianity?
Can we just terminate the life of a brain death person?

Can't find any answers in Google.

Methodist is part of protestant, protestant has many denominations AOG, BAPTIST, PRESBYTERIAN, ANGLICAN, METHODIST, etc

As to why so many denominations churches under protestant, I have no answer for that for now
*
If you understand the history of churches enough, You will notice that most of the churches are from the Catholic origins.
This is until of course the Lutheran movement came about. there was what they call a reformation. Where Catholic teachings became more ridiculous by the day and hence, came the group of protestants.. which the group of protestants are like the methodist, presbyterian, charismatic, anglican. jehovah's witness. etc..
However, this is where most 'protestants' are not taught.. Before the reformation, Catholics were persecuting Baptists.. The baptists were always branded as heretics by the catholics for closely following the Bible. The reformists or rather protestants were formed and together with the catholics, also persecuted the Baptists. This is mainly due to their origins from Catholics believing on the same definition of heretics. That is also why you can see most protestant churches having some traditions carried down from the Catholic churches. Of course, it was until persecution was banned did these churches stop persecuting Baptists.. and with modernization, Baptists were accepted into the protestant group.. and unfortunately, most baptists are also not aware of their own origins..

I've once asked this question before..
I think judgement is at the point where the person is conscious in deciding. Hence, salvation if you ask me, depends on the person's state before being brain dead. Basically, if you ask me, a person thats brain dead is dead.. and hence, he or she probably has no chance of accepting Christ (If he havent). If he has, of course he's already saved.

The famous argument of christmas, celebrating it is equivalent to celebrating pagan god festival.

Well the thing is, what we do in the Church, our words, our devotion, our actions has no bearing to whatever pagan gods.

All I know is that the name of Christ Jesus being celebrated and is the main focus. And if that is what we are doing, then the argument that we are celebrating a pagan god is pretty nullified in a sense.

I think people who argue on this need to get their focus right and not smear everything under the sun loosely.

In the 1st month, month of Tishri, the 1st day of the month.

Feast of Trumpets as well.

King David was born in Jewish year 2854 and died in Jewish year 2924, and 2854 + 2924 = 5778.

Christians celebrate Christmas for what it represents rather than the day itself.
To begin with, Christmas is something started by the Catholics wrongly... and due to most protestants branching from Catholics, these traditions are carried forward.

So unfortunately, Christmas has been wrongly commercialized but in fact there is NOTHING in the bible that asks Christians to celebrate Christmas..

Its amazing you are able to depict the exact date of Jesus Christ birth..
Putting the catholic 'findings' aside, no one can truly tell you the date of Jesus' birth..

Read again, I never asserted any numbers of any sort. Some misunderstanding maybe. I've found that many christians are very fond and yet certain of written history, their dates, and intricate details of their life.

I think its unfair to state many Christians are of such and such.
Its quite the same as stating many Muslims are extremists which believes in the spirit of Jihad and Hudud.
Or stating, many Buddhists are very staunch in their karma and nirvana concepts..

Its not fair to generalize based on small pieces of events which may or may not be true..

But back to your statement, i've given quite a reasonable reply to yours too..

I don't assert that such is so. Asserting is more often practiced by a certain cult. It's an observation, based on past many posts and responses. Half the quotes (figure of speech, i did not exactly measure), involve history one way or another.

Anyway, I don't wish to discuss any further on any of these matters with you. Dictator says it's fellowship, so there should be no discussion. Perhaps only assertions.

Come to RWI.

Well, of course most Christians will tell you that it is based on history. Because the Bible to begin with is like a history book, collection of events in the past.
To a non-believer, this would definitely be ridiculous. Why are Christians talking and referring to the Bible all the time?
I understand. Its just a book, thats already well written. Other religions have books as well.. And there's always gonna be books after books after books.

But then again, to a believer, we believe the Bible is not just any book.. It is the book where God speaks to us. (Yes, it sounds stupid, bear with me)
Now why are Christians so staunched with the Bible?
Cos we believe the Bible is true. Whatever the Bible said, we believe it is from God.
And that is why Christians after Christians would quote the Bible and derive the message from it because that's our believe.

The difference?
A non Believer can read the Bible and mean nothing to him. Because the one thing thats required before all this makes sense is faith.

Without faith, the Bible are merely words as like any other book.
With faith, the Bible speaks to us. How? Non believers would say by coincidence some passages and verses applies to the person. By coincidence the person's 'prayer' has a solution.

But for believers, we know NOTHING is by coincidence.

i hope it helps your understanding on why we take the Bible so seriously and often quote it.

Then it's no coincidence that I'm here speaking to you and UW. Nor coincidence of me to tell you this:

You have fineness in your writing. Very methodical. I would like to reply to you, but all might be in vain if dictator deletes as he pleases.

I cannot express true freedom of speech here if someone wishes to deceive the audience by not showing everything as they are.

Come to RWI, or bring discussion elsewhere?

Sure thing..
I don't believe in coincidences.. It is not by coincidence that i'm at this forum or trying to contribute to it..
Neither do i think that anger is the right emotion to express comments..
As it is written James 1:1920,"Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath: For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God. "

Im not sure what RWI is.. but if you want to discuss, we can discuss somewhere else..
Just let me know where and il'l go there

I'm ok.
I'm here cos i know those here want to know more of God's word.
I'm here because i have a burden in my heart to help those who want to grow in God's word. And from what I know, I can share.
From what I don't know, I can learn.

So yea.. this forum works very fine for me.

But i'm not sure what issues you have that you want to discuss..
Even RWI issues can be brought here, not necessarily to RWI forum.. Why cant RWI issues be dealt in a Biblical way?

Glad you noticed! Why aren't discussions allowed!? Perhaps the outcome is often "not nice", and UW likes to act. Truth or not matters not, so long as it's all 'nice'. So, this is not my wish. UW deletes any material that he doesn't like to hear here. Even if it's a different interpretation. There is this gospel fella by the name of sylar and a lot of his stuff got deleted too. While the fella is a dubious one, it was only fair for him to openly voice his christian ideals.

Where rules, meaning, interpretation, respect and politeness are strictly regulated, you won't get much of a discussion. Or maybe it is that he can't handle discussions. Should you know, UW went to RWI to "discuss" the great lord and suddenly went silent.... only to return here to say that I wasn't respectful or courteous. He could very well have answered other people and ignore me, no?

There are plenty of other tedious stuff.. but well, one at a time..

i've moved on your questions to RWI also.
Whichever forum it is..
I'm an 'ambassador' for Christ.. i don't live for UW or whoever it is that's involved in this forum.
I speak for myself and from what i've learnt from the Bible.

and my intentions are sincere, to try and answer whatever questions you have about God. Or to help Christians grow..
So whichever one you fall into, let me know.. either here or wherever forum or manner of discussion you want it to be..

Its not about the forum that matters... its about the answers..

To the non-believer it is ridiculous because history doesn't record events that the Bible claims and just because the Bible has a few historical facts in it doesn't mean the Bible itself is real, all scriptures including Quran has references to historical events and characters. do you also believe in the Quran ? There is no evidence to substantiate the Bible.

If one wants to term it as faith, then no issue but what the Christians are doing here is making false claims that there is evidence. If there is evidence, it will no longer be faith.

Morning Fellow Christians.

1 Corinthians 14:33 (NIV) - For God is not a God of disorder but of peace--as in all the congregations of the Lord's people.

When you find circumstances or even people that tries to get you confuse, know that it is not of God. Usually what is not of God, can only mean it's either the work of the flesh or our spiritual enemy.

What this verse also means is that your default life is one of peace and if you're not in that position, you have the right to pray for it and God will honor that position because He sanctions it.

Your Faith will bring you into what God has promised become a reality.

God Bless people.
