I’m not going to lie.
Christmas really hurts this time
Cause you’re not here to celebrate with me.
Tears fill my eyes.
And memories flood my mind,
As I place your ornament upon our tree.
Although this year I have a broken heart,
It gives me hope and joy as I remember where you are.

Chorus:
You’re with the Son of God.
You’re with the Prince of Peace.
You’re with the one we’re celebrating
And that thought amazes me.
Sometimes I still break down,
Grieving that we’re apart,
But the sweetest gift is knowing where you are.
You’re with the Son of God.

Got your picture in a frame
And a stocking with your name.
Oh God knows it’s been hard letting go.
And I can’t bring you back,
But I’ll see you again.
And oh, that thought is healing to my soul.
I’ll miss making angels with you in the snow.
I guess instead you will be singing with them
All around God’s throne.

Chorus

And I know the Christmas season
Was your favorite time of year.
You loved to help us decorate our tree.
But now that you’re with Jesus,
I can’t imagine how you feel
Cause He’s the one who bled and died
Upon the tree for you and me.

Chorus

Jon (Pianoguys) lost his daughter, and found strength among friends who cared.

In the beginning there was a scripture verse of Matthew 5:4 Blessed are those who mourned.

Hi,

Can anyone please explain what Holy spirit is?

I mean yes, he's a part of the trinity. But how does He look like? Does He look like a human like Jesus and Jehovah? Can He speak?

I notice He's often most neglected out of the three. Actually, I don't even know 'He' is the correct pronoun to refer Holy Spirit.
*
The only one who came in the flesh and look like human is Jesus...not Jehovah.

From where I came from, the Holy Spirit is never neglected out of the 3 but very much involved in the believer's life.

Holy Spirit is the part of the triune God that is the one who resides in our life. He is the one that teaches us the revelation and help us to understand his word. He is also the one who enables us to live the Christian life. He is the one who manifest God's miracle and power. He is the one who communicates and speaks to us as God. He is the one who helps us to pray in the Spirit. He is the one who manifest as the presence of God. He is the one who convicts us of righteousness as well as when we've done wrong.

Simply put, The Holy Spirit is the part of God who live with us and is in us.

Whereas Jesus and Father God reside in Heaven.

The Holy Spirit does not have a physical form but as His Name imply, is Spirit. However the Bible does give pictures of the symbol of Holy Spirit...such as Dove, Tongues of Fire, etc.

But didn't God say that he made human in his image? So I presume Jehovah is similar like us. Two hands, two legs and even in painting, he looks like an elderly man.

As for Holy Spirit, what I do not understand is, is He a person/being like Jehovah and Jesus? or something like a force? For example, God sits on his throne with Jesus at his right. Then where is holy spirit?
*
While it's true...in some occasion in the Bible...the people describe God to look like the son of Man (look like human)...most of it was in reference to Christ in his preincarnate appearance in the Old Testament.

but scripture also said...No one can see God nor has seen God so...though you would not be wrong to presume He looks like us but truth is....We don't know how God looks like.

And it would be presumptuous to think God look like an Elderly Man...

I get the impression God doesn't look like an Elderly Man but He would look young IMO. Why? Because in Heaven nobody dies and nobody would Age....God could be young looking for eternity.

Besides in the Bible..when Man describe Angelic beings....all of them have young look.

God is a spirit being. I wouldn't know where is God's Holy Spirit in Heaven..As He is part of the Trinity, I would presume He is with God all the time.

Nico maybe this page may help understand the original Hebrew context

NicoRobinz the video above is a good explanation of who the Holy Spirit is.

One Scripture comes to my mind with regards to God manifesting the power of Life through the Holy Spirit. Because of the Holy Spirit, I personally believe we can have the Salvation life here on Earth, though some people may not agree but I believe this life has been restored to us..made possible by Christ's Blood and Death at the cross...We can have robust life in our fallen state body and in this fallen world.

Romans 8:11(NIV) - And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit who lives in you.

Okay I don't want this post to explode over this question:

Do you think humans are made directly from the earth by God's hand, or is it some weird allegory of primates evolving into humans?

I had listened to some talks about it. Humans have a number of similar traits to primates (i.e, colour identification for ripe fruit, spotting snake a.k.a one of the primary predators). Enough for many people to claim that we're related.

Of course, the Bible implies that we are not. But then again it's written as ancient literature, and the ancients didn't have any of these theories to begin with. There's also the factor where correlation is not equals to causation. We know that there are many animals who seem similar and yet turn out to be completely different. Look at rabbits and rats and capybaras.

Rabbits used to be classified together with rats as the same family. That changed later on. Now you might think a capybara is not related to a rat, but they are in fact rodents. The biggest rodent in the world too.
*
Well Scripture is clear. The very first human was created by God. All later humans came from production of the first 2. tongue.gif

Thanks bro....on the nutcase...yeah. laugh.gif The problem with those fella, they don't know the basic foundation of what is what. They want to re-define Christianity into something that is not Christianity. It's basically what Satan wants anyway.

Haih....but we all know the real battle is never with flesh and blood.

I watched that vid before UW smile.gif

But how to explain to people the common characteristics?
*
I think showing them the Bible project videos is good enough. It's designed for contemporary explanation.

[Verse 1]
I have traveled many moonless nights
Cold and weary with a babe inside
And I wonder what I've done
Holy Father, You have come and chosen me now
To carry Your Son

[Verse 2]
I am waiting in a silent prayer
I am frightened by the load I bear
In a world as cold as stone
Must I walk this path alone?
Be with me now, be with me now

[Chorus 1]
Breath of Heaven, hold me together
Be forever near me, Breath of Heaven
Breath of Heaven, light in my darkness
Pour over me Your holiness for You are holy
Breath of Heaven

[Verse 3]
Do You wonder as You watch my face
If a wiser one should have had my place?
But I offer all I am for the mercy of Your plan
Help me be strong, help me be, help me

[Verse 1]
He was not the One we thought would come
We were looking for a king
But He didn't come in glory
The Author of the oceans and the sun
Still, He chose to be
Written in our story

[Pre-Chorus 1]
So He could feel our flesh and blood
And we could know His love

[Chorus]
Emmanuel
A manger for a bed
No crown upon His head
He came like us instead
Emmanuel
He meets you where you are
He holds your heavy heart
Our God is with us all
Emmanuel
Emmanuel

[Verse 2]
It was no mistake that He arrived
Lost without a home
Helpless as a baby
So if we're feeling lost in our own lives
We are not alone
He has felt the same things

[Pre-Chorus 2]
Because He lived in flesh and blood
We can know His love

[Chorus]
Emmanuel
A manger for a bed
No crown upon His head
He came like us instead
Emmanuel
He meets you where you are
He holds your heavy heart
Our God is with us all
Emmanuel!
Emmanuel

[Bridge]
Oh, what an invitation
Oh, His only expectation
Is for us to come and offer Him our all
To kneel before the Child who shall be called

[Chorus]
Emmanuel
A manger for a bed
No crown upon His head
He came like us instead
Emmanuel
He meets you where you are
He holds your heavy heart
Our God is with us all
Emmanuel!
Emmanuel

Having God's perspective.

Hebrews 11:1 (NIV) - Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.

Faith always reason from God's perspective.

For example, when King David rebuke Goliath, He didn't reason from looking at Goliath to assess his situation. King David look first from God's perspective, just as God has delivered him from the bears and lion, so will God deliver him from Goliath. Faith always look to God first to access.

Dear Believers, we need to practise this kind of Faith.

The very same admonition from our Lord Jesus Christ, when he admonish...O you of little Faith. Because many a times we always reason from our circumstance to God hence why at times we lack Faith. Our Lord Jesus Christ always look his Father in Heaven first before handling a situation. When Christ saw the inexhaustible power of his Father and knew God is for Him...you get the idea.

May this revelation blesses you.

Am I still reading anything about Christianity??? Christians following the Torah? What is going on man? What have I missed in the Christian scene? Seems like something went wrong somewhere.
*
Just let them be. Some Christian are still infant, so they will go by natural reasoning which is to obey the Law. But You already know spiritual truth, so don't let what people say, sway you

Zechariah 12:1-5 (NIV)

The Lord, who stretches out the heavens, who lays the foundation of the earth, and who forms the human spirit within a person, declares: 2 “I am going to make Jerusalem a cup that sends all the surrounding peoples reeling. Judah will be besieged as well as Jerusalem. 3 On that day, when all the nations of the earth are gathered against her, I will make Jerusalem an immovable rock for all the nations. All who try to move it will injure themselves. 4 On that day I will strike every horse with panic and its rider with madness,” declares the Lord. “I will keep a watchful eye over Judah, but I will blind all the horses of the nations. 5 Then the clans of Judah will say in their hearts, ‘The people of Jerusalem are strong, because the Lord Almighty is their God.’
