Hey, while I was discussing Jesus with BF, we found these two geneologies
https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?searc...w+1&version=NIV https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Luke+3:23-38 I only know that Matthew is a Jew and Luke is not, so their way of writing genealogies may differ. So why is Luke's list different from Matthew? |

The Battle belongs to God
Deuteronomy 3:22 (NIV) - 'Do not fear them, for the LORD your God is the one fighting for you.' What is your battle in life? Take this verse to heart, believe it, declare it, pray it and see God deliver your enemies out! Scripture is God's word. A promise given to only people who has believed in Christ as Lord and Saviour. |

[Verse 1] When you're at the end of the road And it's not the one that you would have chosen When you're at the end of your rope And you're holding on, but feel like you're falling [Pre-Chorus] With every option exhausted You've tried everything you know You saw a light then you lost it But there is still hope [Chorus] Like the fire in the night Like the ocean parted wide Like the grave, empty inside You will see He still does Miracles, miracles, miracles, miracles [Verse 2] Even if you don't see it now Without a doubt, He's already moving There is not a pain that you hold He doesn't know, and He isn't using [Pre-Chorus] With every option exhausted You've tried everything you know So reach for something beyond it 'Cause He is our hope [Chorus] Like the fire in the night Like the ocean parted wide Like the grave, empty inside You will see He still does Miracles, miracles, miracles, miracles Miracles, miracles, miracles, miracles [Bridge] A broken heart can be restored A broken soul can be reborn And greater things are still in store For us, for us [Chorus] Like the fire in the night Like the ocean parted wide Like the grave empty inside You will see He still does Miracles, miracles Miracles, miracles Miracles, miracles (He still does, He still does) Miracles, miracles Miracles, miracles (More than you can dare to dream) Miracles, miracles (More than you have ever seen) Miracles, miracles (There's still more, there's still more) Miracles, miracles (Miracles) [Outro] (Miracles, miracles) |

QUOTE(NicoRobinz @ Dec 27 2017, 09:18 AM) Thanks for sharing something so amazing. 2 Corinthians 4:4 (NIV) - The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.Have been attending churches for few years and these are what I have seen. The verse above helps us to understand why. The (small letter) god there as we know is satan. he has planted through the ages.... in all kind of seed (doubt, hatred, etc) into the heart and mind of unbelievers and even have the gumption trying.............. (so to speak) "scam" believers (baby christians) against God, against christianity, christians and the church. And that god of the world will hold fast to every unbeliever in bondage...he will not let go so easily. <----It's a warfare. This is something they do not see and realize because they are also under the bondage of sin..thus making them blind and oblivious. You can see this in the way how they think of us. They do not even understand the hostility, why they hate God. They think they do but if one would really think deep about it, they have no real reason. So why is Luke's list different from Matthew? One is towards the jews (Mathew account) and One is towards the Gentiles (Luke account). Matthew emphasizes on Christ as the seed of Abraham and the legal heir of David, the long–awaited King of Israel who would ultimately restore his people from exile. (Jewish perspective) Luke, emphasizes to the first Adam, thus making the point... Christ as the Second Adam, the key/gateway salvation, the Savior of all humanity. (Gentile perspective). Hence why the order of the genealogy is different. This post has been edited by unknown warrior: Dec 27 2017, 11:32 AM |

I understand if an atheist/unbeliever try to disprove Christianity when it's being promoted to them. I would probably do the same if you tell me to follow your practice out of nowhere. However, I wouldn't create a thread just to tell how BS that is. The verse above helps us to understand why. The (small letter) god there as we know is satan. he has planted through the ages.... in all kind of seed (doubt, hatred, etc) into the heart and mind of unbelievers and even have the gumption trying.............. It's also funny how people always say that churches are good in brainwashing people. LOL. In fact, the person who is afraid of going to church because of this reason is the one to have been brainwashed. I was one of them, afraid of being brainwashed by pastors but I feel regret that I didn't go to church earlier now. If I did, I might not have done so many mistakes in my life. There was a time that I even tried to suicide but thank God, it was a failed attempt (that was also the time I started going to church). I know what people have been saying behind my back, weak, pussy, strawberry generation but other than these, there's no one that's really willing to help (other than family members of course). Therefore, call me a delusional person to believe in fairy tale if you like. I certainly do not mind because I know this 'fairy tale God' is much more willing to help than those who really did exist in this world. The persons who should be ashamed aren't Christians but those who only know how to judge others. Before I started going to church, I always heard some Christians said how they wish they could get to know Jesus earlier. At that time, I thought it was just an exaggeration to promote Christianity. Now I know it's true because i feel the same way. This post has been edited by NicoRobinz: Dec 27 2017, 11:38 AM |

As long as the person has been separated from God, the nature of the flesh in that person will exhibit a sort of a hostility against God. Even if the person feels... has nothing against God, he/she will find God, Christianity, Salvation does not make much sense. It's also funny how people always say that churches are good in brainwashing people. Now I know it's true because i feel the same way. The reason why a person would go to the extend of opening a thread..even to confront in real life, (may get physical even) tells the sign of being in deep/great bondage. Such a person would need deliverance as his mind is already pass the verge of rationality, being manipulated by the evil one. As Christians we need to understand the fight is NEVER against flesh and blood but is always primarily against spiritual forces, principalities, etc. This post has been edited by unknown warrior: Dec 27 2017, 11:57 AM |

Where sin increased, grace hyper-increased
Romans 5:20 (NIV) - The law was brought in so that the trespass might increase. But where sin increased, grace increased all the more, There is provision of abounding grace where sin increases. Why? Because for the believer, the blood of Jesus Christ is divine redemption, it is the blood of both Eternal God and Man..not the blood of bulls and goat where provision is temporal. The Redemption of Christ is not wish-wash but eternal. It is divine blood! Believers may sin, but they fall in the Ark of God's covenant. While Noah was in the ark..though the waves may rock the boat, but they all were safe, though they may trip..but they trip in the Ark. I pray the Holy Spirit gives you this divine revelation. |

"Grace Is Enough" I can boast to many works Done out of insecurity And credit many conversations To my immaturity And while I’m misunderstood You are understanding me And showing me How grace is enough For everything that I’ve done right Seems like a thousand I’ve done wrong And I keep on losing count Of all the times my flesh has won And when the light of Christ that’s in me Is overshadowed by the fall You’re showing me How grace is enough When I feel unworthy And so undeserving [Chorus:] Still I can come, just as I am For I find Your love Is free of condition So I will run to Your wide open arms Where I am accepted And I am forgiven Grace is enough for me Your grace is enough for me I’ve been quick at passing judgment When I’m worthy of conviction And the times I’ve measured virtue Only based on my religion But theology it seems It’s not the things that’s saving me Your are showing me A grace that’s enough When I feel unworthy And so undeserving [Chorus] [Bridge:] Though I was blind, now I see Sweet is the sound Of Your grace over me You said it all on the Cross Your grace goes beyond All that I’ve done When I feel unworthy And so undeserving You love me beyond All my failing and hurting It’s not who I am But who I can be And I know You are working Your purpose in me [Chorus] Your grace is enough More than enough Your grace is enough for me |
