Hi West Wing,

Ya, I did came across the rules and regulation for building a BH. Wait & see what will happen..... Infact the bandaraya ppl did came & advise to submit plan for d building & apply license (just verbal without any document). Their said if not anything happen then susah lah....scare the building collapse! I think sooner or later need to apply license already, because bandaraya ppl already knew we going to build a BH. I believe out there still have a lot of BH operate without any licensing.

I had thought of that before, meaning go thru proper procedure. Somehow, my contractor told me that need to go thru lot of procedure & 2nd consume lot of time. Because it’s an agriculture land & need to apply for land lot splitting these & that lah.....if u want to build a building. Eventually, we still proceed without applying / submitting anything. For the GF, we do not want leave it empty, we just proceed & do it. ( My BH is a stand-alone type at kampong area somewhere at Kedah).
Not me alone lah...with some member. This is also due to some already have their own BH (1-2kg/mth – 4 YO farm) and their claimed their idea is better & other one tak boleh pakai lah.... trust me lah..!!!! Look like everyone can become a consultant already. For me, no harm learning, listening & trying. We always look for the better & enhance the existing one. Learning is part of our life mah.

In fact I’ve bought the love potion from James our member here. Very excited & wish it can show some amazing result as shown at his blog.
Yr opinion, i think it make sense (will take note – thanks).

Hi Wtr,

Well, if you wish your new BH can get imagine results with aroma or other newly prodcuts, then i wish you are lucky then. What I tried to said is the successful BH is not only rely on aroma or potion. You can check here that some BHs even with more good results without applying those so call amazing liquid. Myself have tried some products and i dun see good results. One of my uncle friends tried the new one also no immediate results. So I guess for you and for newbie is to think and get more feedback 1st and not only read what they claimed a effective one thumbup.gif

Anyhow, since your BH will soon operate and may be you can tell us how is the results later then wink.gif

Added on August 4, 2008, 11:33 pmIf you wish to find where swiftlets like to hunt for food, then I suggest you check Indah Water pond nearby your area to see if you can see such amount of swiftlets like what I saw and capture in the below attached video.

I personally went into the pond to verify if these are the species of the swiftlet AF. Yes, it is and i found at least 1000-2000 swiftlets at 7pm drool.gif A good place to build BH here i guess rclxms.gif

Is they hunt the food there ? or Drink water there ? Because my friend also saw so many swiftlets fly around the top of the pond at Loji Air at Kg. Wak Salam, Jalan Jemaluang, Mersing every evening.

Jemaluang is a good place for swiftlet breeding since no many BH yet.......... can consider to invest if got cheap land with electricity and water supply..............

Hi,

I went in checked and confirmed these are swiftlet AF which build the saliva nest. Indeed when observe carefully you may be will find about 80-90% are AF, the rest will be mixe with those grass swallow.

Yes, they are hunting for insects around the pond and also drink water.

If your place also confirm is this kind of species then you shall check any land /shoplot available and start to think of your investment. For me, I will start to survey land around this area laugh.gif

Yesterday i went again and i could not believe my eye, i guess it is more than minimum of 5000 birds drool.gif

Hi all sifu,

If a BH has 300 to 500 nests for example:

1.) How many nests need to be achieve before we begin our first harvesting? 200 nest and above?

2.) What is the best harvest % of the nest we can harvest, 30 or 40%? I know it is also depends the occupancy of eggs or baby birds but i guess your can provide me a rough figure here ;-)

3.) How often we can collect and harvest the nest, every 3 or 4 months?
