Wah!!! I thought KLCI is heaty today....come here also so heaty Ka!!!

Relakslah... do not point finger anymore....` We Chinese Do Not Fight With Chinese " !!!. There are too few chinese in Malaysia, less than 20+%. In no time, we will be the minority race in this country. We, chinese, should fight for our own right !!!.

Following my previous comment :-

So, do you think paying consultant to do your farm is a good idea, NO!!.
you can DIY for the first 50%, then put your effort for the rest of 50%.
So lets get started, i will first discuss, The Cost Of Renovation For a 2 Storey Shop House of 20' x 70' :- (i will discuss later the criteria for those who wished to buy new shop lot for swiftlet farming.)

Assume that you have existing shop lot, these are the things that you need to order for your new project :-

1) Meranti wood plank :- Price : RM1.80 ~ 2.30 per ft run for 6" plank.
Qty : 1,200 ft per floor
where : you need to ask around for this.
** be careful when ordering your wood, ensure that it is meranti merah,
dried and free from white ants. Do not trust your consultant that he
/she will provides you with good quality wood. Most of them don't
care if it is meranti merah or meranti kuning. They just want wood
to start work and get pay. Nothing wrong as the house is not belongs
to him.

2) Bricks : Price : many types but we mostly used Alu. Oxide clay brick or
what they called light weight block, it is 8" x 2' and it
cost about RM3.80 ~ 4.50 per block.
Qty : For normal bricks : 1ft square = 4.5 no of bricks
and 1 no light block is equivalent to 7 normal bricks. For
here you can calculate how many bricks you need for
both front and back. OK, make it easy for you :
11ft (H) x 20ft (w) x 4.5 (normal bricks) x 2 (front &
back) = 1,980 bricks x 2 (2 storey) = 7,900 bricks. you
will need to include those
partition inside (follow the same calculation).

3) Cement & Sand : Price : check in hardware
Qty : Fine sand : 1 small lorry load
cement : 12 bags
kapur : 15 bags

* There are two methods in preparing internal wall, some prefer it to be
without plaster and some like to plastered. Personally, for internal wall,
i prefer without plaster, birds hates the cement smell. But for those still
prefer plaster, you need to rinse the wall with water everyday for two weeks in order to get rid the smell.

To be continue .......

Added on November 2, 2007, 5:16 pm4) heat resistance material :- They are many types, but from my experience,
these two type is the best, Rockwool or Alu with bubble sheet (forgot the
brand name). Both cost minimal. You can lay it on the ceiling to prevent heat entering from the roof. Bear in mind that most of the heat is from the roof and only 20% come from the walls.

5) Ventilator :- Put two or three Apollo ventilators on your roof.
Price : look at `The Star', my supplier normally advertise
there, the price is cheap.

6) Humidifier : Price : RM380 ~ 420 / unit. You will need 1 unit / floor.

7) SD card player : 2 units for start for internal and external. Price : RM280 ~ RM520/unit.

8) Speakers : Price : 2.30 / unit with condenser. Qty : around 50 units/floor.

9) Copper wires : 8 rolls. Price : get from electrical shop, its cheaper about
RM42/roll. Buy thicker one.

10) Timer : totalled 5 units with one spare. 1 for internal, 2 for external sound, 1 for humidifier,1 for spare.

11)Alarm :- This you can do it later, maybe after you have about 30 nests.

12)Corner wood : Price : RM1.20 ~ 1.60/pc. Again, be careful, use only meranti merah !.

13)PVC Piper & Elbow : use 4" pipe, place it 2 ft from ceiling and 3ft from
floor each. Most of the consultant ignore this, they just let the workers place it where they like. Bear in mind that heat dissipate to high ground and cool air comes from the lower ground. Qty : 3 x 20' long of pvc pipe,
and 32 elbows (16 hole each floor and 8 hole for both front and back.)

14) steel cover for pipe with alu. wire mesh to cover the external pipe hole. This is important to prevent predators from coming inside, rats,..

15) Labour cost :- Price : For chinese kong tow : RM 15,000
For indonesian kong tow : RM7,000

* Personally, i prefer chinese kong tow, MUST SUPPORT CHINESE MAH!

Guess I have covered all the material needed.

So, how much do you think the Total Cost of Renovation for a 2 storey shop house........RM40K++ !!!. IF YOU DO DIY, you get all the good quality materials.

Next, How...what needs to be consider....next week, my friend......weekend needs to harvest nest mah!!! better harvest more as USD is dropping like shit !!!.

Newbies who want to buy shoplot in swiftlet farming hotspot :-

Most people buy shoplot and converted it into farmhouse in farming hotspot as they saw so many birds in the area. Will you succeed in this game plan?
well it depends, how can you check before throwing the money there.

1) Observed the existing farm houses there, look at the oldest house, what
is the birds population ? is there enough small chick that you can attract
to your house?

2) Observed any new farm houses that are just operated, What is the birds
population? If any?. Ask yourself, what can you do that will be different from what he did to attract birds from old farm house ?

3) Most important, How old is the oldest farm? experience told me that the older the farm, the harder to attract his birds!!. Birds follow birds just like
human being!!! if there is two eateries nearby, one is crowded (x) and one is with few customers (y), which one do you choose? of course the crowded one eventhough y turn on the TV volume high!!!

Actually, I don't see it as racial...it's just life.

whether 30 nests or 100 nests...there's no guideline.

Swiftlet farming is a business, how much do you want to profit from any venture ?. 5%/year from your capital? or 8%/year from your capital?
If you buy a new shoplot, what do you expect for your income collected from nest?

We all have to think before venturing into this business. But, sure failure if you buy shoplot in farming hotspot with established farms. There is no way you can attract their birds to your house unless your expectation is 30 nest a year or 3 year or 6 year.

By the way, my own farm starts with 12 birds for the first 3 months, then
after 8 months with 22 nests, after one year 55 nests, and 2nd year 123 nests, 3rd year 225 nests, 4th year 1000 nests.

or, my other farm starts with 2nd year 60 nests, then 4th year 1800 nests.

So, what does this tell you. Nothing!!! it is not important whether 30 nests for the first year or 100 nest for the first year!!!! It's all in your mind, if you think that your farmhouse will succeed, it will succeed!!!

Ofcourse, many efforts is required.

Again, those who are interested to learn more pls come to my blog, I created this blog to share my experience, I don't sell anything!!

There is a story told about buddha and the burden of material passions:-

Buddha was sitting in a field meditating with several students.A farmer come rushing up to the group waving his hands and crying out :
" oh, Sirs, forgive me for interrupting you but I am in dire need of your help.
You see, I have spent my entire life raising cows. And yesterday one of the cows broke through my fence. The rest followed!. And they are now scattered all across this valley, lost or hiding.I must find them or my life will turn tragic and I might die poor. I might even starve to death someday!.
Have any one of you seen any cows come this way?"

Buddha calmly looked at the man and said ."I am so sorry, sir, but we have seen no cows pass this way,I assure you."

The farmer was stunned at his bad luck.He said,"well, if you do see any cows, please be sure to contact me right away.I live right there across the valley between those two hills, at least for now. If I do not find my cows, I may not have that house for long."
At this thought his face went rigid with fear. Then he suddenly ran off in another direction looking for his cows, his arms flailing.

Buddha told everyone to close their eyes, and after a long meditation he said to his students :

" We must all be so very thankful.......
that none of us have any cows. "

Just because of few successful cases that new farm house managed to beat the old established house had actually make people think that they too can do that had so many people failed miserably. I don't blame them as most of them were been sweet talk by CON sultant.

Pak Henmulia would not dares to say he can catch birds from established farm, what is the percentage of old established farm which have problems in overcrowding, predators that harms their birds and with bad design.... not even 0.002%.

But then again, this is what most of the CONsultant would like you all to believe......don't do it anymore.....think of your children.....

Kenkoh,

you also been approach by this indon huh...very famous guy, he basically gave all his cds collections to everyone in kuala selangor, kapar, batang berjuntai. He always tell people that he did many farms and this and that but he don't even know what is flying path. But I did taught him the importance of flying path just for the sake that not all his clients will suffer from his consultation work. If you really ask him to do consultation work, pls becareful as he don't have any permit to work in malaysia and only a visit pass and most of his workers also the same. Seems he didn't take my advise not to do any consultation work anymore. Well, good luck !!

QUOTE(crazybird @ Nov 29 2007, 10:52 AM)
Oh that's mean RM 3000 for old farm, unsuccessful one, so any gurantee? Dont mean to be rude to you ...cause i read that you want to help people who are new in this field and did you know that as an adult ,you have  tried to be more professional in the way you post, cause lately the way you post its like you are so professional and only want to help people. But at the end of it...you are nothing but the same CON-sultant yourelf.

Try to give more by free as you first started when you do blogging an posting, now merely show you are just another CON-sultant which will harm other people families.

Sorry to be this rude to you....i don't mean to put in this way, just that previously you say this and now that...Confuse..are you really another CON-sultant . Like malay always said"Ada udang disebalik batu"

I think the way you want to help people are wrong and please think about other people children( quoted by you recently)

Can i know where is your farm? i would be in Kl soon. Where is your office? mine is on level 21 Menara Dion, i can just walk over if you would meet me for "yam cha" my treat of course. You can email me to tanhocklim@yahoo.com

I really hope you don't charge people so high if no gurantee cause they already suffer and you are another Con-sultant who want to fix the thing. Thank you for reading . My farm is situated at Langkap.

Added on November 29, 2007, 12:40 pmSkynest, can you visit my farm in langkap next week? cause i really sad as my farm failed now. Please, anyone, do you mind let me know how i should make it a better one or successful one.

Skynest, are you sure u really know what is my farm problem? Really?cause my current consultant now said just wait and see. What should i do? I have spend so much.
*
Haha,

See who is so unpolite now.... Thank you, my children is doing fine.
They will each have one established farm that will pay for their education expenses,
their future family living expenses, and their retirement expenses.
While I will keep the rest of farms for me and my wife until we `Pak Neen Quai Loh'
,then the farms will past to not my children but to my cucus lah.

Ahh, another shui yue who is desparate and frustrated, COnsultants all catch him....
Skynest cannot help you want!! he got no experiences and he is a CON-sultant who
likes to cheat people from RM3,388.88 because other CON-sultants are cheating 20K from their clients.

Peace!.

Skynest, so are you going to hep me or not? Means you did not know what is the problem with my farm or are you worry i will kill you ?

Do you gurantee after visiting people farm then it will be successful?

If no gurantee then i sorry to say you are not a helper but another CON-sultant who take rm 3,388.00 for people. Only you dont dare to take more from people because you are worry that the one you consult wil come after you and family. One of my fren who email you said you are also want to con people for money. Wise up and use your buddha teaching about ..........COW

Peace to the world!!!!!

Anyone who know any consultant, please enlight me. Thank you .

Go find another con-sultant and after that another con-sultant...never ending story!!

liurmas,

these day, we don't need to exchange CD anymore, just send sound file in MP2 or wav format. Most sounds are just few minutes long, just edit it with sound editor software then you have a full hour length file.

You have to be careful in the net (I'm not mentioning swiftbuilt), they are those who used multiple names to coax people to share info....I came across quite a few in this forum, One of the character they imaged themselves as expert and the other which is the real him/her, they are newbie with limited sound collections which they bought from somewhere and are not effective. They have done that and try to coax me to share my cd with him/her but they can't coax me this way.......they are still very active in this forum.....

I feel so sad to guys in Taman fajar...If association in penang did functioning
as well as selangor swiftlet association..this will not happened in the first place.
As I have warn and ka ting had warned us...noise pollution is the main complain....we have to be considerate to the neighbours.
As far as I am concerned, if not with the help of MCA in selangor and MB selangor......selangor farmhouses are long gone......ka ting had done something for us.....if you compare wt former MCA leader...do you think he will help us......not just ka ting but datuk chong also help us a lot....
what we need to do is to tell all swiftlet farmer, those with monkey house pls demolish it and change to open roof type.
All states need to have an active swiftlet association as strong as selangor association....don't be stupid and blamed this and that...no one can help if we don't do this together...........

Added on December 13, 2007, 7:37 pmThink hard!!!!!

What is our bargaining power with the govt....
Think!!!! Don't just sit here!!!! Act!!!!!
Don't just blamed this and that!!! History is history!!!
Look in the future!!! What can we change!!!!!!
What can we Act!!!!!
What can we Do!!!!!!
What can we Create!!!!

Only stupid people think that he can fool others because he thought he is smarter...Swiftbuild, you can't fooled yourself.

I rest my case, wish you all good health and happy new year.

The End.

Added on January 1, 2008, 6:18 pmIf the readers have read back what I have posted here earlier, you all will have found that I am strongly against CON-sultants from conning and milking new investors. In the process, I have make many enemies.
With the posting and the blog posts, I think most of the newbies will have gain enough knowledge to go about judging how to find good consultants.
I do not against harry blog, as Liked me he started the blog with the aim of sharing swiftlet info and mainly swiftlet info not techniques as he is still newbie in swiftlet farming. But when he started to do other thing liked giving consultations to others eventhough he himself is still searching for answer, this is again ` A con-sultant in the making'. That is why I commented him as I know he read my blog for info.
Nothing is wrong with that, but when you try to gives impression to others that you are well verse in swiftlet farming and able to help them in solving problems, you are just another con-sultant. I wish that I had waken him not to follow the path that he just chosen and move back to the right path.
It will protect his own name and respect.
As for swiftbuild, I had no more comment for this guy or guys in this forum, wake up man...you are making a fool of yourself.
While it is 2008, I don't think I want to continue doing it any longer.
I guessed I had help quite a lot of people and I will not be posting anymore comments in this forum as the previous posts will be able to help them and I wish you all the best.
As the knowledge of swiftlet farming is a never ending story, every day you learn something new, you don't have to rely on anyone to gain those knnowledge, it is all comment sense.
You only need to open your eyes widely, observed, always pay attention to details, always cares for the birds and not the nest,
lastly, No Pains No Gains.....I have been through it, looking after farmhouses fulltime, spending every evening checking on the farms progress, and I mean every night...
There is no point paying anyone big buck to do something which is all depends on comment sense. No one dares to say that he knows everything about swiftlet farming, everyone is still learning.

So good luck guys.....Don't trust this forum. It was started by two con guys which I mentioned earlier.
One is still shouting but very good potential as CON-sultant,
one is on the making but I feel that he is not qualified as he is not as black heart as swiftbuild. I hope he will not followed his partner path.

Bye. And THE END. rclxm9.gif
