Hi! need some info on how to start loosing weight:

Age: 30 yrs old
Sex: Female
Height: 1.6m
Weight: 85 kg
BMI: 33.2 (obese! cry.gif )
Diet: Morning eat yogurt, culutured drink, oatmeal with fruit slices
Lunch eat a fist size of rice with chicken or fish n veggies (if im too hungry)
Dinner eat fried rice (if too hungry) or fruits before heading to bed
In between meals eat rice crackers, sumtimes junk food
Fat %: i don't know

Mid last year i started to exercise together with my fren(doing aerobics from the CD) and starting a diet of fruits only and i manage to loose 5 kg. Earlier this year my weight started to slowly gain back to where i was to 85 kg cry.gif .

The problem is i don't think im fat but the reality sinks in wen ppl comment on how fat i am. Furthermore, wen i started watching the home n health channel, im starting to worry about all this crazy obese related disease.

Rite now i know i have to lose all this weight with all this health scare. Plus i think im gaining weight bcoz my exercise buddy just moved away n i use food s my comfort (comfort food). I have no trouble exercising. I enjoy it. it's just that im too lazy to start n do it alone. Yesterday im taking small steps at a time to start exercising bcoz i noticed that my arms n thighs have grown bigger... cry.gif

Any suggestions from the health gurus?

it's great if i were staying somewhere in a city but rite now im staying sumwhere in tampin (a small cozy town area). so i think starting with an exercise CD or just brisk walking at the park will do rite?

Btw, i know fried rice is tasty... its also my favourite... but then i think of it as fried carbohydrates... you can make do with out it.
Try reading up on some of the pinned thread on dieting.. will give you more info on whats good.

Keep up the exercises too. just cos i said diet is more important, doesn't mean you don't exercise.  tongue.gif  Good luck, all the best!   icon_rolleyes.gif

thanks for the advice. actually just for ur info, i did tried exercising without controlling my diet and in the end i only lost 0.5 kg to 1 kg. then i decided to try both and i ended up 5 kg. so rite now i need to start that routine again n discipline myself ever since i found out that i already gained back the weight that i loss. i would say that self disciplinie is most improtant in loosing weight. thanks again for the advice
