QUOTE(malayneum @ Apr 23 2007, 01:51 PM)
1.Avoid eating 4 hours prior to bed unless its protein or vegetables, fruits.
2.Lifting weights is the easiest way to loss weight. More muscle the more you burn.
3.Drink lots of water 8 at least more if you can but not too much unless you want to poison yourself. Its the best detoxification.Try to avoid sugar unless its necessary, sugar=energy.
4.Do a lot of cardiovascular.
5.Lessen your carbo intake and upper your protein intake, but dont strain yourself, you need the carbo for energy.
6.Lessen the oily food,fried,junk foods.
7.Try to sleep early and wake up for a jog with an empty stomache.
8.I would like to emphasize on diet and sleeping habits mainly, shitty diet=no improvement, less sleep=wont get you motivated.

There are ways to lose fat very very fast that i learned from my silat master, but its a very dangerous technique and only used before tournament to match the weight category tongue.gif .

QUOTE(King83 @ Apr 25 2007, 08:52 AM)
that's not much of a difference there, my fren.
If u can rep up to 12, then it's too light for you.

since u're asking which is better for fat loss, i'd say high reps.
but please, if u wanna compare, take a 5 rep one with a 15-20 rep as example.

its a myth. havent you learnt anything?

not being a smartass...
i admit i didn't know it was a myth.
Some senior at my gym told me that.
But i rather believe you than believing him.

a lot of "seniors" in the gym know crap about strength training and most of them (in mine) do advocate the use of steroids.

I'm not trying to screw you over. I'm trying to help you improve, hence the harsh criticism in your journal. You know the way i talk, if you meet me, that'll be how i talk in real life too. My personality is the same on the net as in real life, but i mean well. Ask Joey Kun if you think i'm lying. He's met me before since he's an actual friend of mine.

if you wanna get big, go to darklight

if you want cajoling and being treated like a baby, go to a PT.

talking about high reps & low weight, i m doing very high reps and light weight exercise on non-workout day (mainly for active recovery).
other benefits:
size increase with sarcoplasmic hypertrophy
reduced muscle soreness
better muscle endurance

what is volume difference between 1 kg of fat & 1 kg of muscle?

1kg of muscle = less mass || hard to be seen but you will be heavier

1kg of fat = more mass || easy to be seen but you wont be THAT heavy

If you're serious about health in general and not just about weight loss, drink as much plain water as you can the first thing you wake up, and go for cardio jogging. this also helps with constipation.

caffeine intake is also great for weight loss but be careful of taking too much over an extended period of time because it drains calcium from your body.

main things you gotta remember is exercise, water and controlling food intake. Do exercise as much as you can, drink as much water as you can and eat less.

One question though, I've just started weight training (to burn more fat) and find myself easily burn out at even low weight.

How should i move from there?

just stick to the current weight until you're strong. there's not shortcuts. Just keep doing it although it's hard. Take rests in between if you really cant make it but try not to give yourself excuses.
