so many off topic replies here lol.

Question: Do you think the pricing of OP5 128GB will go lower than RM2.9K? I'm sure Direct D got hike up the price as it's still 'hot', but how low can it roughly go?

I'm using OPO and am considering either OP5 or P10 Plus - both are currently in the same price range now.

OP5 pros:
- Dash charging
- Vanilla Android, smooth giler
- 8GB RAM, probably will never lag
- dual-camera seems legit, pictures & portrait looks good

P10 Plus pros:
- Fast charging (probably not as fast as OP5)
- Leica dual-camera (monochrome mode is really sexy, not sure if the pictures are better than OP5? But better video cuz got stabilizer)

I can't decide which phone to go with. Main priority for me is good quality camera + long-term phone.

Can still get for +2.3k from china, but then there's issue with warranty

What do you guys think about the OIS?
Acceptable enough?

RM2.3K is for 64GB ya? Am aiming for 128GB actually.

Now can pre-order OP5 from Brightstar Malaysia already, link below:
https://www.facebook.com/BrightstarMalaysia...488091094559647

Saw someone commented on the WiFi and LTE issue. OP5 macam can't get full speed on WiFi..... (https://forums.oneplus.net/threads/bad-wifi-with-the-oneplus-5.554403/).

I'm having 2nd thoughts now lol.

So far the issues on OP5 that I know:
- Jelly scrolling (won't be fixed)
- WiFi (probably can be fixed via OTA, or from wat ppl say, forced 5Ghz will do)

I think you have make a good choice!

haha, was already looking into reviews of P10 Plus, MI6, S8, and OP3T. Each have their own pros and cons, but ultimately I'm sticking with vanilla Android lah...

S8 camera very ons but I can't put myself to learn/endure TouchWiz lol.

Will share my first impressions of OP5 when it arrives flex.gif

Those jelly effect is happening on all OP5 or for lemon unit only? It's really you guys don't care of that issue, why not wait until Oneplus fix then get the phone? Just curious.
*
OP say its a feature lel damn kek. Don't reckon they'll fix it. It's on most OP5, but not all will kena. Depends on % of jelly effect.

about the dash charge thing, if ppl want to dash charge, they will need to hv both the dash adaptor and dash cable available only can do dash charge?

meaning you cannot simply plug it into any usb to dash charge in ur home/office/car?

which mean you only can dash charge in 1 location unless u move the dash cable+adaptor here and there?
*
Yup need both the cable and the adaptor. But you can buy extra adaptor from Taobao or Lazada, saw someone shared in 3T thread. Legit can DASH charge, price also ok (around RM50 ish I think).

For those thinking of buying with Brightstar Malaysia, the attachment is what they replied me after I ask about 1-to-1 exchange if there's jelly effect or WiFi connection issue.

Found it. Thanks.
It mentions 6GB is ready stock but at Rm2399 nett with no discounts.
Somehow or rather, Im still contemplating whether to jump or not this round. I would probaby say its the price factor. Too close the the S8 already.  sweat.gif

Pretty sure u can still buy the 128gb via direct D. They selling both AP set and Brightstar set.

AP set is Rm100 cheaper I think, but warranty for screen, phone and charger only 3 months. The 1 year warranty is software only.

Don't think you can expect any discount la. The phone just launched anyway. If wan buy lazada can use like lazada vouchers lo. Else can wait 6 months I'm sure price will drop.

S8 only AP set is very close pricing right? I considered S8 also.
- awesome display screen
- much better camera and stabilizer
- good low light
- waterproof so no worries
- very chic design with the glass panel

But cons is its Samsung so u can expect bloatware and laggy performance after 6 months. Plus I can't get used to their OS, looks outdated after using Vanilla Android for 3 years lol.

And with front and back glass screen means easy to pecah.

End up I go with Op5 for OS and performance.

Hey guys, anyone can recommend a good tempered glass screen protector? My default op5 got like scratches already even when there's no contact with keys hard surfaces :/
