Well, no offense to the TS but I feel that there is no need to create this thread just for the game against England. I doubt (although I could be wrong) that this thread will remain active after the game against England finish. Plus I dont think there are many (if any at all) LYN members here who support Israel national team. Just my opinion

Glad to see that from you. Israel have the experience that they needed. They have players playing in Europe too. Besides those 4 players in EPL, there are 2 more players playing in UEFA cup IIRC. I won't say that it's going to be an easy game for England. It'll be interesting.

Exactly, it's refreshing given the number of English fans here. I'm simply a fan of any nation that plays good football, given that my nation is utter crap. England unfortunately have been playing boring piss poor football for awhile now.

I'm a fan of Israel's football team. I always keep up to date with their international matches.
Ever since they played againts France few years ago I became a fan. Their performance was not bad even though they lost 1-0.
They did get trashed by Croatia 7-0 which was quite shocking considering that Israel can play quite well.
Hey you people in LYN forum, why do you think Israel is like some bad word? Is it so sensitive ?? I think it is plain stupid to think Israelis are monsters because of some mid-east tension and is bad to support the football team. I'm sure there are many non-Muslims too who support Saudi Arabia's football team.
We have this mentality because we live in Malaysia.

We have this mentality because we live in Malaysia. Don't worry about it mate, it has nothing to do with religion so let's not get into that. I suppose there may be some that doubt if you are a real fan. I personally think it's commendable that you support a nation that isn't a superpower in world football. I have to admit that the only thing I know about Israeli football is Ronnie Rosenthal So, who would you say is your most influential player and what was your best every result against a top side?

i dunno much about da national squad since most of their players are from da israeli league. i think there are 2 players from da epl rite? (benayoun n ben haim)
it is of note dat they were unbeaten throughout last year's world cup qualifying rounds. although they didnt qualify, it is commendable for a country ravaged by war.

In 2006 World Cup qualifying, Israel finished third in European zone Group Four behind France and Switzerland despite being unbeaten in their 10 matches after four wins and six draws, and failed to qualify for the finals. Coach Avraham Grant announced his resignation on 26 October 2005. After the end of his contract he was succeeded by Dror Kashtan.

We are all football fans, so no matter whether it is English football or Israeli Football, It is the same.It just so happened that EPL is the most watched football league in the world.
at the end of day, we are still football fans.
here are some quiz for you all to answer:
Ronny Rosenthal will always be remembered in England for a catastrophic miss in a Premier League match for Liverpool against which club?
Tottenham Hotspur ? Aston Villa ? Nottingham Forest?
Israeli super-agent Pini Zahavi reportedly earned himself £3m from a transfer involving which player?
Rio Ferdinand? Eyal Berkovic ? Aiyegbeni Yakubu?

QUOTE(Sensui @ Mar 26 2007, 02:48 PM) I'm a fan of Israel's football team. Pffft... Totally uncalled for. I'm sure if I suddenly open a San Marino thread I'd get the same amount of stick.

i have a lot of respect for respect for all Israels defending what they believe in. I truly feel the Israel Army is the greatest in the world.
Back to football, i think Israeli footballers are very creative and technically good. They just need more power and physical presence.

There are quite a number of good players in the Zionist team..in fact, I hope Boro can sign Benayoun, coz I like his style of play. Even tho the Zionist team have skillful players, but I think the Zionist team still lack the tactical and technical knowledge to be successful int the European Qualifying Zone

Even tho the Zionist football can be considered a minor football nation, they do have good players, plying their trade in EPL, like Benayoun, Ben Haim..
I'm not a fan of the Zionist team tho..but I'm not stopping anyone from supporting them..

EDIT: Typo Liverpool has always been a popular destination for Zionist players..wonder why Liverpool didnt take anymore Zionist players.. Even tho Spurs is the traditional Yid team in England, Spurs never had any Zionist players, the fact that Yids in Palestine hated the Yids in England
