Flip4mac is the plugin for quicktime that apple and MS both use officially to play WMV files on mac OSX, the thing is u have to purchase a flipping license if you want to encode on WMV on the mac otherwise its a 60 second cut off point >_<

WMV files with DRM will not play on the Flip4Mac codec. I'm not sure about the Mac Windows Media Player.

When I visit some of the sites that has audio or video streaming and requires a Media Player...i just ignore it. To me those streamings are more of a hassle than informative.
