I need some recommendations regarding cordless drill/screw. Am looking for something that can drill metals and cement wall? Im not sure which to get actually.
i got myself gsb 18-li, quite a decent impact drill. if you can spend more...there is better model. sifus here can advice more.
but when your job sites are different each time, and working in wet environment (toilet slabs) and not being able to find nearby poweer outlets, you are limited to cordless
however, i am happy to report that the GBH18v-26 bulldog is quite impressive. drilling with 28mm bits is still ok though the battery does take some pounding
If you really need to drill holes in concrete, rotary hammer is the best. You can also use corded 600w++ hammer drill, can drill but 1 hole take like 5-10 minutes. 600w++ hammer drill also not very light weight.
I think dewalt got a model that can drill concrete, up to 6mm wide 1.5 inch deep. I tried that model during CT hardware's dewalt road show. It was rm700+ only.
You are right, for concrete wall rotary hammer goes in like slicing a butter with knife. Of course the drawback, its slightly bulky. You got to compromise somewhere. :-)
