using an axe it'll take me all morning. and usually very tired after that.

it's not for everyone, since not everyone lives in the jungle and/or have big trees to trim. most people would be content with a pair of pruning scissors. biggrin.gif

but please don't buy an electric chainsaw.
*
hahah... u really need a bigger chainsaw. your chainsaw is so small compared to the large quantity of branches you pruned

should go for 24" or 36" one brows.gif

pardon the mess, i just moved in.

very clean and organized. mine is a few l-boxxes and i throw it in whatever i need for the job that day

then there's a few boxes where i take out from the l-boxx what i dun need and chuck it there

LoL... my set of 48 / 36 / 24 / 12" pipe wrenches lie on the floor cos it's too heavy for me to organize

Thanks, for the recommendations hitachi looks good on paper, but it dont have the drill depth guide? or anywhere i can attach it?

EDIT: nvm i saw the photos for it thanks!

Hitachi will be the best choice now. Stanley quality drop a lot according to my hardware stores friends.

stanley are known for their hand tools, not power tools

their powers tools are re-branded from china manufacturer where they have licensing agreement under Black + Decker & Stanley, of which DeWalt and some other known brands are under it too

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stanley_Black_%26_Decker

i think ACE power tools also come from the same manufacturer for Stanley powertools

some of DeWalt high end stuff are still made in USA / europe

found a cheap deal....Bosch GLM 15 laser range finder from shopee

Bosch GLM 15

use this code : best30 to get it for only RM125 shipped nationwide, so far this is the cheapest and simple laser measuring tool from Bosch. not sure how long this promo will last...maybe just a day or two from today...

if got higher budget, go straight for the GLM 50C, awesome awesome little laser range finder  thumbup.gif

plunge cutter blade made for wood + metal

5 second vs a corroded 8mm bolt nut result in this vmad.gif

user posted image

i see so many video people cut zinc steel nails easily... this one is badly corroded bolt saja... haiya... i so sad. that blade is brand new. costed me rm60.

i then proceed to buy these

the quality for older stanley hand tools (the left one) is more superior than the newer one (right, with new logo).. the riveter is made in taiwan, the dynagrip is made in china

itu plunge cutter blade ori kah?  laugh.gif the coating of the blade looks like peeling off....swiss made quality  rclxub.gif

ya, those stanley handtool with old logo are better quality compare with those new logo one....new logo one look and feel counterfeit to me...

nowadays i cut nail and screws with this..

user posted image
this is a small little beast, cut nail and screw with little force used with single handed.

price is not cheap.. mad.gif

i used to buy stanley handtools, but once i try irwin and milwaukee handtools....no turning back on those stanley anymore....

user posted image
i prefer the irwin riveter more compare to the stanley, somehow the irwin riveter seem more easy to use with less force.

btw, ct hardware are having clearance sales on the forge brand rivets....i must say it's damn cheap comparing it buying from places like mr. diy / ace hardware. per packet of 100pcs rivets only cost from rm3.50 - 4.50 and not yet apply 10% discount... brows.gif
*
the cutter blade is ori from bosch. swiss made. some rust and peel off because i've been using it to cut some plastic pipes few days ago before i try it on the metal

LoL... wood + metal. haihs... i rugi rm60 for trying

Irwin tools need to find those old stocks one baru made in germany / taiwan / etc - the newer ones are made in china... haihs

i use some irwin drill bits because they are available in odd sizes (13 mm for example)

now u poison me with that powerslot... haihs... i must go find some irwin liao to cure my sadness brows.gif brows.gif

irwin's most famous vise grip pliers are kinda affordable. about rm 50 - 60 for a 7" one from lazada. i might get that one rather than stanley because stanley now only have that sissy rubber coated grip pliers... haihs...

pls share more of your irwin & milwaukee handtools. i am slowly adding hand tools to my arsenal. i buy china ones firrst and see which one i really use. at least i dun mind cheap china hammer. the only risk there is is the broken handle (fiber glass neck). LoL

as for rivets, i buy in boxes of 1000's... usually can last me half year. about 1/10 will go missing due to careless workers. so i buy cheap jaguar fastener brand one. about rm 20+ i think. the normal size 1/8" (3mm) x 1/2" (12mm). too big and it's hard to close the rivets, and repeat that 50 - 100x a day, your hands do get tired.

to me any tool is good as long as it does what it does and survive that job

i always buy cheapest china no names ones unless the more exp ones give me superior performance - eg the riveter & tin snips

anyhow, this is my bulldog after 3 weeks. she's been a good pup. a lot of bruises. very powerful... just one regret... i bought it rm700 too expensive cry.gif

btw, dun belip that hype over vibration control. it hurts. my right arm is full with salonpas after drilling about 20 holes @ 14mm / 75mm deep.

Didn't use dust collection cover? So much concrete dust of the tool.
*
no point. most of the time, it's not dry dust. that's why you see the dust caked itself on the machine, which is also good since i know it wont get into the motor vents. but it's a bit harsh on the sds bit, so i need to clean them and re-grease them (very hard to find silicone grease)

i deal mostly with wet concrete slab. to repair leaking floor slab. drill holes for injection packers.

I never like Stanley tools. Their finishing are rough and not fine. More to medium quality. The grip can give me high torque to push.

That clone battery probably not 4ah. Probably 1/2 of it only. There is no 4ah battery yet in the market.

the clone batt pack is using what cells? samsung?

Doubt average users have access to those "outlets".
I'm lucky I got my bosch 4AH @ RM240 last time, thanks to voucher war of online vendors.  biggrin.gif
*
it was on garage sales in LYN. dunno he is doing it now or not

i got my stocks liao. 6x 4.0ah batteries really last me about almost 2 days worth of cutting and drilling.

about 2 hours of non-stop grinding if use all. tongue.gif

Wahhh thats a lot of batteries you need.
My 2 x 4AH I already fell very sufficient already. I think charge only once a month.
*
i need a few more actually, but i have to restrain myself from buying too many batt packs

they do degrade over time

and owh, did i mention got another 2 x 2.0ah for drill drivers? they are lighter, so i need them for drill / screw duties.

alas... i only have 1 charger doh.gif

fatmax xtreme antivibe hammer...this is really a joy to use.
user posted image
my most used and favourite stanley...the fatmax multi saw. this can take the normal blade and all my bosch reciprocating saw blade  thumbsup.gif
user posted image
*
these two i think i will enjoy using. thought i rarely swing a hammer since i mostly use them to force open something or just to break something and pair it with a chisel to just do about almost anything

the saw is kinda useful when i can't use the multicutter. and for 2" to 3" plumbing works

thanks for sharing

this hammer is really a pleasure to use. it has a magnet to hold the nail...no need to use hand to hold it...save my thumb from kena hammer. it's just very ergonomic design, nice to hold and swing with less force and powerful hit.

yes, the saw is very useful for very tight plumbing work where tool cannot go in....looks small size but the price.. cry.gif  cry.gif
no. this is not meant for metal cutting. metal cutting is bosch GSC 12v.

i hardly cut or deal with metal sheet, so i didn't bother to search for a good deal for this.. biggrin.gif
*
I surveyed the hammer is around rm100... sweat.gif

LoL... and to think that i sometimes use a block of wood or spanner as hammer substitute as i always forget where i keep my hammer

i dont think i can afford to pay rm100+ for a hammer yet. maybe the saw. i like the saw
