QUOTE(Zot @ Jan 20 2020, 01:07 PM) Just use a nail (concrete nail is the best) and manually hammer it on tile to chip the surface a bit. This way the drill bit will stay on the spot. You can also put an electrical tape and mark the spot. This way also will make the drill bit tip stay at drilling point. i tried hammer a nail to just chip a starter hole - the thing just bounce off. Cannot nail....i think mine is supertile or something....If use diamond core bit, drill at an angle so that the drill bit scratched the surface. Once the drilling point get deeper and deeper, just straightened up your drill and continue to drill the hole. tomorrow try again with my tile bit just bought. Attached thumbnail(s) |

OMG! finally can sau kung kor leen
this is what i did with the suggestions and help from you guys - thank you to all! 1. use a tile bit (see attached photo) 2. use my cordless drill with the tile bit 3. no need to use a nail to start a hole. just use the tile bit and drill slow onto the spot. the bit wont skid, infact it was very steady and accurate, and takes very little time to start a hole. 4. dip the tip in water every 5-10 seconds, you can hear it sizzle.... 5. each blardy hole took me like more than 10mins, like never ending. 6. drill with the tile bit until at least 1cm which is the thickness of my tile. Many times I wanted to rotary hammer it halfway. I did with one hole and the sides chipped a little so dont take shortcuts. Make sure its passed the tile only use the big gun. 7. last but not least, dont drill tiles ever again.... see the tile bit compared with a new one after only 6 holes. my body aches all over now.... QUOTE(Zot @ Jan 21 2020, 03:10 PM) The rough surface tile won't skip normally. The nail chipping is useful for porcelain shiny surface tile. mine is not rough type but smooth surface. when i tried to nail it, it slipped and bounce everywhere.Once you get the feel of how much force to use, the normal hammer drill (not rotary hammer one) will do faster job after creating initial dent like one suggested |

QUOTE(ozak @ Jan 19 2020, 03:02 PM) Easy job. i found liao - Use this Hex screw. Get the right spanar size. Done. If you have the L shape screw driver, get this same screw. But have the Philip or minus hole on it. Pretty common such screw. i also bought these but damn expensive - RM6.90 for 2 only. I cant find local non branded ones. i planned to use these on my plaster ceiling This post has been edited by idoblu: Feb 2 2020, 01:32 PM |

QUOTE(ozak @ Feb 2 2020, 03:15 PM) The 1st wan for metal roof wor? It's self driving screw. The end tip is a drill bit. First one can screw into wall plug or not?So if want screw that plate, might be difficult abit for the start. Need keep forcing in while turn. It's almost non for plaster ceiling fastener in local. Only ace have such macam macam ceiling fasterner. I cannot find one like in your pic 😕 This post has been edited by idoblu: Feb 2 2020, 06:25 PM |

QUOTE(ceo684 @ Mar 18 2020, 10:36 PM) https://www.lazada.com.my/products/bosch-sd...1131448514.html? Nice! Thank you 🙏🏻From 4mm up. https://www.lazada.com.my/products/maju-s3-...null__null__0__ From 5mm up Theres also a set of hitachi sds bits + chisel + chuck adaptor for 18 bucks. Funny how the whole set of stuff is cheaper than standalone bit set. https://www.lazada.com.my/products/hitachi-...l__null__null__ From 5.5mm up, I find the 5.5mm very useful for wood plugs. |
