I've read comment from users in Internet about even Bosch one. The comment was about how the mechanical was designed inside that cause his unit broken. He had two units broken until he wnet to other brand I think.

Well, sometimes we just believe that branded one can serve us good laugh.gif

but ..if manufacturer make the thing that wont broken ..their sale sure dropping ...the tool can last forever..

so think to make the tool has life time ..so that their product can keep on selling ....
cost reduction also concern....

now a day many things not as durable as old old time...

my bosch GOP18V-EC (non-starlock model) worked well for me. used for at least 70 - 80 hours already (over 3 yes period). gone thru 3 or 4 of bosch's swiss made blades (they are very tough)

i use it to cut & shapes PVC pipes & joints.

so far no damage yet. even at its highest osicallation settings

just dont buy those china blade ones. it is just not worth it. yes, it costs 1/5 bosch punya blade. but it last me like 10 cuts before it become blunt

From my experience, Bosch mansory bits also last longer. Only tile bits go with china because tiles drilling eat bits for breakfast...

Nah, cheap bosch drill bits dont last

U want good one, need the S4L ones. Made in germany

But they are pricey

I use irwin joran speedcut drill bits

About 70-100 holes before it gets blunt. Same lifespan as S4L

For ref: the drill bits are 14mm, drilled into reinforced concrete at 75-100mm depth

I use bosch gbh18v-26 aka bulldog (bought overpriced from amazon us, LOL)
