depends on the object ma biggrin.gif .
organic shape, use point cloud data i.e 3d scanning, zbrush etc.

mechanical shape, use cad 3d software, parametric modeling.

It is just some contour profile shape. I use 3D cad only.

Most easy way. Download from the web.

No problem.

2.6K include delivery is cheap.
The one I look at (300W CNC+ 3D printer) costs 4.5K.
Summore only 300mm x 200mm x 100mm area only

Sorry, it is RM2.3k. With the laser, the price is not bad.

11.11 discount alot on this printer. So grab it lor.

But you show that CNC+printer is more rigid the structure. Definitely stronger than my wan. Some more running on Linear guide which is more precise and stable. CNC mill require stronger structure.

You can get the cheaper wan (important is the controller) and modify the structure. You already good at wood. thumbup.gif

I plan to upgrade the structure to CNC level. And add in a makita router on it. laugh.gif

This one is 3D printer + engraving only? I don't think engraving can cut more than 1mm in a single cut right?

hmm.gif hmm.gif

But the price seems tempting.. demm..

It comes with 2 heads.
One head for CNC milling and 1 head for 3D printing. You need to manually change the head to switch between CNC & 3D printing.

Whether to cut 1mm or not I think it depends on the power of the motor?
They have models from 300W to cut plastic/softwood to 2.2kw that can cut jade/rock.

hmm.gif Yeah.. there is a calculation which require motor power, rpm, feed speed to the material hardness. I don't quite remember it, probably need to google it. If motor power is low then you need to reduce feed speed and cut lesser material per cut.

2.2kw cost 7200CYEN? Sorry, I can't read chinese.

You can cut even 10mm with lesser power.

You need to divide the cutting pass layer to how many time to cut.

If 1mm cannot be cut, than divide it into 0.1 perlayer cut. Than pass 10x to finish the 1mm cut.

It also depend on the material you want to cut. Softer or harder material.
