Hi Guys,
Yesterday when the IT shop are installing my new rig with the Thermaltake 3.0 Water Cooling 240L, they get the CPU fan error on my Asus Z270E mobo. After doing some research, I noted that you can just set at the bios to ignore cpu fan however they just told me that they actually plugged the Liquid cooler pin into the CPU Fan header. Will it cause any problem or should I plug the AIO into the AIO pin and set to ignore CPU fan?

As per the installation manual, the fan pin will go into "CPU Fan" while the pump will go into "SYS FAN"
I am just wandering if there's a need to use the AIO slot at my MOBO

I also ask this same question. Im using Z270F mobo and Corsair H100i v2. I plugged mine into the AIO slot. Reason being I found from doing research is that AIO slot provides more power compared to CPU Fan slot and also the power of the pump will be controlled by the mobo. This in return impacts the power of the AIO pump. So by putting your AIO into the AIO slot on the mobo it will get more power and the pump will run at 100% the whole time.

So both sockets no harm. Just see your preference. =)
