Hi sifus, me 100% noob for ICE. My stock system is 4 speakers and 1 player which can play audio CD. I wanna upgrade to a player which can play MP3 through USB flash drive (yes I'm sick of burning all those songs). What do I have to change? Actually the HU refer to the front panel which we can detach only, or does it include the internal unit (which holds the CD) as well? So those HU which can play MP3 through USB, are they like plug-and-play or what? Seems like cheap right, RM300 or more can get one already.

Another thing - any players to recommend? I want decent sound (no need audiophile stuff, I can't tell the difference), budget not fixed, but definitely less than RM1000.

For beginner, a good sq cd player without MP3 is Eclipse 5405 shld be sufficient.

mp3 is crabla, tats why i suggest cd player oni, u want better one go get the Alpine 9835,come with mp3 & wma features but cost closed to RM2k for a new unit.

That unit 5405 cost less than 900 for a new unit, u gotta search for it.

Wah sai, my noob thread suddenly became discussion ground for high-end ICE. I don't need high-end ICE becos luckily low-end already good enough for me

Sony top end model like CDX-C90r is still a very good deck. dont talk about al-cheapo low end model they are most likely dissapointed.

Clarion DB566USB better. Hey bro, why u dun consider Kenwood? The SQ quite ok, but the lens abit sensitive than pioneer.
