I managed to sell off all my PIE shares for a modest profit. It went up 5% today.

Monitoring FPI. Hopefully it will continue to go up and I can sell it off for a profit.

Cranked in some data. The potential stocks to shine in Q4 are:

1. AirAsia
2. Genting
3. Maybank
4. BIMB

There are others on the list but it does not look so appetising for now.

I managed to buy some AirAsia stocks at RM3.080. Last 20 minutes also managed to sapu some stocks for Maybank and Genting. The market is really bad. biggrin.gif

Airasia bought around Jun 3.38 drop till now despite all good news keep coming out
Genting also dropping when I bought during good news new casino then say delay bla bla bla...so also red
GenM different case, but new themepark now missed out China long holiday and I dont think can be fully open before Christmas...year end cash gone  bangwall.gif

but still hold...hopefully worldwide market dont go bear.

p/s: even harta reporting slow profit  bruce.gif

No worries. Genting and Maybank will have the usual year end window dressing. Watch the stocks price towards the end of December 2018. I read somewhere that the special dividend for Air Asia is due to be announced in November 2018 and it will be 78 cents if I am not mistaken.

QUOTE(bee7 @ Oct 3 2018, 08:59 AM)
Please what criteria that you use to select the 4 stocks? Thanks.

Vanguard's own crystal ball (which seems broken this year). The usual criteria like PE ratio, ROE, EPS, safety margin, intrinsic value, etc. Not risk proof but that's the best I can do.

I am sure you know the drill. smile.gif

suggest tax followings to solve problem:

1. cigarette and alcohol
2. divorce tax
3. carbs and sugar tax
4. increase luxury good import tax
5. tax singaporean cars entering johor
6. increase property gain tax
7. tax/regulate prostitution
8. tax/regulate ketum/gambling
9. create license for branded goods bags etc.

add/pass on the idea for greater good.

You forgot the famous inheritance tax or death tax.

It is basically a tax on the estate — be it property, money or possessions — of someone who has died. It was repealed in 1991. At that time, estate duty was charged at scale rates of 0%, 5% and 10%. It was not applicable to estates with a value below RM2 million, while the highest tax rate of 10% applied to estates valued at over RM4 million.

Damn good pricing. The blue chip stocks continue to drop. TENAGA, HEIM, PETRONM, etc.

Any Ah Long here? Please give me a RM500K loan to buy the shares. I will pay it back. I promise. tongue.gif

In this difficult times, we should drown our sorrow and drink more beer. Buy HEIM, it has been dropping non-stop this week. Today it dropped another -4.4%.

Carlsberg dropped -7% today.

Those with titanium balls can start doing DCA or VCA now.

No need to guess whether you are buying at the lowest price or highest price

It's OK. Just hold the counters if you have still have faith in them (i.e. the fundamental and valuation are still intact).

My unrealised loss are already more than RM100K. Life goes on.

Comrades, do not despair! Investing is a marathon, not a 100 metre sprint. My portfolio is a bloodbath with huge paper loss but I am hanging on. To re-cap, a few ground rules for investing:

1. No margin trading
2. Invest using only money that you don't need for the next 2 years
3. Have a 3 to 6 months emergency fund
4. Diversify across different asset classes
5. Continue reading investment books

You will then sleep well at night and not end up like KYY who lost RM64 million recently doing margin trading with JAKS shares.
