Hi, would Petron be a good share for long term? I thought of selling it when i break even or make slight profit and buy some other shares that are priced similarly but with higher dividends.

We still don't see any effective from government how to tackle illicit cigar trade. Earning still perceived doing bad in at least coming few quarters. After election many investor somehow speculate a big U turn putting high hope on how new gov tackle the issue. hmm.gif

I own some BAT too but been reducing my holding since 2 months ago. lets see how is the coming Q report

I was just wondering, with the upcoming recession, should i sell off my shares that are making some profit first and keep the cash? When the market drops more, then i reinvest?

Been playing for a few months only, so i wanted to know whether it is a good idea biggrin.gif

Hi, using the example below, if i buy the share after 28th Sept, i won't be entitled for the dividend?

What about if i want to sell the share today (22/10) instead of waiting till the dividend payout on 30/10? Will i still get the dividend?

Hi, i have a basic stock market question. Let's say i'm selling 50k units of shares at one go, does this mean it will take longer to sell? Priority will go to the smaller portion of shares?

What is fundamental procedure? Does it need to match with another willing buyer of 50k units or it automatically assigns to various buyer to sell the 50k units?

Between GenM and Genting, which is a better choice? Personally i feel GenM is pushing to it's max while Genting still has some runway.

What do u mean by pushing to it's max?  Share price?

For me I think GenM still quite ok in term of valuation despite big increase these few days.

Genting is more diversified so the news released have less catalyst for Genting.

Yea, the share price.

Similar to Berkshire. At the moment, approx (+- 1%):

40% Equities
30% Cash MYR
5% Cash USD (was 10%)
20% Bonds MYR
5% Gold (was 12%, but took profit n moved to bonds and some equities)

This is not yet a financial crisis allocation.. More like balanced.

AA price is so tempting but don't know if it's a good move to enter now
