QUOTE(Vanguard 2015 @ Jul 14 2017, 03:42 PM) Eh, I mentioned this before...IMHO, AAX has weak valuation and fundamentals. The ratings by Absolutely Asia for AAX is: hi bro Vanguard, is filtering feature available to get a list of stocks with both valuation and fundamental score above 2.5?Valuation = 0.3/3.00 and Fundamental = 0.55/3.00. |

QUOTE(Vanguard 2015 @ Jul 17 2017, 10:28 AM) Hi buddy, I tried tinkering with the filter function. It only came back with 2 stocks. i guess trending stocks don't fall into value category, wrong filtering i supposed, so should ignore value.1. UPA 3.00/3.00 (Fundamental) 3.00/3.00 (Valuation) 2. LBICAP 2.6 (Fundamental) 3.00/3.00 (Valuation) My entry price for Inari was RM2.220 after the last QR. how many stocks with fundamental above 2.5 btw? mind sharing? |

formulas used by Greenblatt for his Magic Formula are:
Earnings Yield = EBIT / Enterprise Value Return on Capital = EBIT / (Fixed Assets + Net Working Capital) does any website provide these info? esp earnings before interest and tax (Ebit). |

QUOTE(Vanguard 2015 @ Jul 18 2017, 11:56 AM) I need some parameters to work with. Otherwise there will be too many stocks with fundamental above 2.5. It defeats the purpose as well because a stock can have a fundamental of 2.5 but valuation of 0.5. i suppose such scenario would calls for keep raising the fundamental bar towards 3/3 until reaching only top 20 stocks, up for the challenge? It's far better to buy a wonderful company at a fair price than a fair company at a wonderful price. ATTA 7099 will pay 10cents div, thats 0.1/1.1= DY 9.1%, the best current yield you can get in the whole bursa currently. As for fundamentals, it's quite robust, leave that to you to check it out.

QUOTE(Vanguard 2015 @ Jul 25 2017, 07:58 PM) Hi there. For me, buying it slowly means I will buy minimum RM8K or RM16K depending on my budget. Then monitor. If the share drops another 8% to 10% and the fundamental and valuation are still sound, then top up another RM8K and the cycle continues until I reach my maximum portfolio allocation for the share. the support is a zone between 1 to 1.2.For ATTA, I am a bit cautious. Small cap stock. In 1 year it has already gone up more than 100%. Now drop back 30%. Potentially it can drop more because it has fallen below its support level. As they say, beware of catching a falling knife. |
