Hi guys, was wondering you guys have an anti virus software for your Mac ? if so what is your recommendation ?

I'm using Mbp 2013 for like 3/4 years, and a sudden thought wondering I really need an anti virus or not. I'm quite new in MacBook also.

You dont need any anti virus for mac, as it will slow down your computer much more. Mac only infected by some adsware. Which is come from an online website(usually movie website) .

i ve installed eset antiviurs (that is my company), able to clean up some and protected
Now working fine. no more adware

done both suggestions, cleared my browsers and
i installed malwarebytes (as it comes with free premium) and it quarantined few files
so far being using my mac for few hours and the pop-up havent happen yet (hopefully the problem resolve, touchwood) bruce.gif

however, i gatal tangan went and delete unused apps and now become another problem
everytime i boot in my macbook, it will pop-up "uninstaller quit unexpectedly sweat.gif
i opened a thread in helpdesk section, if any of you can come out with solution please help me there

Bro, download this anti malware app from https://malwarebytes.com/mac

Been using this app since 2014 on my rmbp and so far I'm confident in surfing all those 'you know what' sites without much issues. Once in a while scan the hardisk to remove all those unwanted parasites.

but the license rm180 per year though

anyhow with regards to my problem, it is gone after updated to high sierra

Guys, I am using version 1.2.6 and in 2014 it was free to use. They came out with the version 2.0 and most current now is 3.0 which no longer free. Only difference between 1.2.6 and 3.0 is the upgraded interface (the free version is simpler) but both scan with the same database.
