i heard someone said that 360's HD AV Pack can also be used on the old xbox? is it true? can someone confirm this? i have been looking for the original (old) xbox hd av pack but it seems that it is very hard to get one nowadays and it has already been discontinued. if the new 360's hd av pack can also be used on the old console, that would be great as it will be a piece of cake to get the 360's hd av pack. anyone???

the 360 HD AV cable cannot be used on the old XBOX. i've been looking for the same thing too, i got a 3rd party HD AV pak for the Xbox off ebay.

so it can't....... yeah, 3rd party should be easy to get but i read quite a lot of reviews about the 3rd party one with video quality problem or to be exact, ghosting effect on 720p and above.... people in S'pore are selling the original one for S$20 (used item). i am still trying to get one from there though.

well i used 2 types of 3rd party HDAV cable for the xbox. previously i was using XCM Multi-Console Component Cable... there was ghosting @ 720p. i'm not suprised since the cable is kinda thin. i went looking for a new HD AV pak because that XCM was a loan and i'm in desperate need of optical spdif for XBMC this new one i got is an exact clone of the MS HD AV pak; u can use your own component cable to connect to it, unlike the XCM. so far ghosting (i run 720p only) and the optical is working fine. SG$20 for a 2nd hand original MS HD AV pak is not a bad price, get it quick... This post has been edited by hikaru_x: Mar 22 2007, 11:05 AM
