guys.. red alert... some of the XBL accts are hacked, as hackers it seems have hacked bungie.net more info here - kotaku- update -QUOTE Despite some recent reports and speculation, I want to reassure all of our 6 million Xbox Live members that we have looked into the situation and found no evidence of any compromise of the security of the Xbox Live Network or Bungie.net. There have been a few isolated incidents where malicious users have been attempting to draw personal information from unsuspecting users and use it to gain access to their LIVE account. This is a good time to remind our members that they should never give out any of their personal information. Additionally it may be a good idea to download this free PDF file from Microsoft.com ' Help Protect Yourself Against Identity Theft' that gives you some excellent information and tips on how to protect yourself.
Hope that clears things up.

QUOTE(marauderz @ Mar 22 2007, 09:41 AM) I wonder if it's really a HACK, or did some dumb ass just got cheated via social engineering again. So far bungie is not saying anything.. MS is investigating.. n alot of ppl are still unsure bout it. It seems to be a vry isolated case. Only a couple of them claim that their CC was charged for points/goods they didnt purchased. I still have faith in MS to keep our records safe from prying bits n bytes.

Getting Started

tho not so clear, but ms responded: http://kotaku.com/gaming/top/microsoft-res...erns-246044.phpwhat i understand from this whole debacle is someone is claiming that bungie.net (the website) is compromised and they can steal .NET passport account (Live account or whatever wachamacallit) from there (bungie.net). if u just play on ur box and dont visit bungie.net, there's nothing to shout about. ps: but the horse armor joke, *LoL*, i can't stop laughing, that's a good one!
