**** them all! Even if they are indeed developing the game, at least ****ing show some progress (e.g Teaser trailer, or screenshots) and then go ahead and take another 6 months...

Alright, so the game took such a long time to develop, 3 engine changes, so HOW GOOD can this game possibly get? Heck, I reckon they just switched to the Source engine and started from scratch since 2004...

Scott Miller is an *****le. Here is the proof :
"First, we fully admit we're screwed up the development of DNF, and it's now an industry joke. I laugh (and cry) when I think about it, too. Our fault is that we set the bar too high, and we tried too hard to make the game to beat all games. In the last 18 months we've taken a much more realistic look at the project, we've hired a truckload of experienced help, and I personally believe we are now on the right track...finally."

That was March 21 2007 news...

Bloody. I feel like going to Remedy and shooting them all themselves... mad.gif

Anyway I played the 2D games and of course the superb Duke Nukem 3D.

If they're on the right track...finally, then why are they still HIRING staff ? I believe some of the staff (or most of them) have left...and because Scott Miller is such a hard head he is adamant the game MUST finish no matter how long it takes, even 2009 or 2010.

Is the game released in 2007? Hell no. Hell no!!!
2008 ?
2009 ? (Likely, but the would have switched to Unreal Engine 4.0).

vmad.gif And please God don't tell me they are interested in DirectX 10...

Duke Nukem Forever Sighting
That's right. A human, in the year 2008 has seen 'moving' images of Duke Nukem Forever.
Actual ones. He must be God.

Apparently Steve Gibson of Shacknews saw it :

Another sighting :

Wow - -
They saw different gameplay scenarios, mechanics as well as environments of Duke Nukem Forever. The lucky folks over at Shacknews were able to see a demonstration of DNF for a good half hour. shocking.gif The article reads, “We actually got to see the truth of Duke curator George Broussard’s many past claims, including environmental puzzles and interactivity, a host of finished weapons, the existence of an in-game forklift, and plenty of heads and arms being blown off.”

Actual creature from the game. 'Actual'.

Two unlockable screenshots were included with the September 24, 2008 release of Duke Nukem 3D on the XBox Live Arcade. Located in the game's art gallery upon earning all of Duke Nukem 3D's achievements, one DNF screenshot featured a first person view of Duke reloading his pistol, while facing an Octabrain. The other screenshot depicted a frontal close-up of Duke with two scantily clad women in the background.

I did some 'analysis' on the screenshots, the one with the scantily clad women, the graphics are really not up to today's first-person shooter standards. OK, maybe comparing it to Crysis is a bit of a far cry (huh?), but indeed it is...

The second screenshot Duke holding the gun and is said to be the 'actual' in-game gameplay screenshot is much better. The Octabrain ( biggrin.gif ) 's model is really looking awesome !

Its definitely 'taking shape'.... I expect either Tease #2 or even a Trailer this Christmas...

And yes, I absolutely believe 2009, is the year.

OK, I said that in 2007. But this time, we have the images ! That is... really... really... something...

Duke Nukem Forever Still Alive, Being Developed By Gearbox

QUOTE
A recent story from Kotaku has suggested that Duke Nukem Forever has been revived by Borderlands developer, Gearbox Software. According to Kotaku, Sources wishing to remain anonymous have claimed that they are aware of plans for Gearbox to take up the development of Duke Nukem Forever after having cancelled the Duke Nukem spin-off game Duke Begins, which they were said to have been working on previously.

Take-Two still owns the publishing rights to the game, though when asked by Kotaku, a company spokesperson would not comment on whether or not the title was still in development or if Gearbox had taken up the reins of the title.

The source did reveal that there may be a playable demo available for the title later this year.

When asked, Randy Pitchford declined to comment on the matter but said that he'd be able to clarify on the rumor later this year at the Penny Arcade Expo while 3D Realms founder, George Broussard declined to comment entirely.

Though this is very much a rumor at the moment, I would be excited to see Gearbox's take on Duke Nukem Forever seeing as how they've had a pretty good track record as of late and not to mention the possibility of finally seeing Duke Nukem in one last hurrah gives me a nice warm feeling.

Playable demo by Dec 31 2010?

Having played the SP of DNF, I must say this :

Gearbox now owns the Duke Nukem IP, so go make a new one up-to-date and make it way better than DNF.

DNF felt like a game from another era, while still fun, it was so dated.

Anyways, DNF uses "Unreal Engine 2.5" ? It crazily feels like Doom 3 game engine.
