How long did you get the message after you contacted CS? I contacted them and they admitted that they are having issues with 5G for iphone users. Told me to contact them back again if i don't get it within 3 working days. I'm on the RM80 Lightning package.

Common sense also know it is nothing related to Apple. It is simple, same device, same location. Insert Digi/U Mobile sim, Got 5G. Insert Celcom sim, No 5G. Haha

They just want you to hang the call, and they can move to next call. Or simply say 3 working days to resolve.
4 days no update. Yesterday 2:30pm after bp naik. At night get the sms 5G add on. Then today directly can access 5G. Very stable 5G.

You called them again after 4 days of no update? Looks like I need to contact them again if nothing is happening after 3 working days.

It is something like on/off button. After they enable from their ends. Only you able to access the service. MEGA™ Lightning is eligible for 5G for sure.
But no ideas why they need to manual add and cannot auto enable for all eligible plan user.
Just call them describe your issue, if dont understand just tell them to add the 5G component on your account. But what you need to is to ensure that you device is 5G phone, all phone setting is correct, and under 5G coverage. Like iPhone, you need to ensure that your device is iPhone 12 model and above, OS version iOS 16.2 and/or above, Network Provider CELCOM 35.1 (iPhone > Setting > General > About) and you choose either 5G On/5G Auto under the mobile data.

Talking about the account, they told me the 5g component is ready for my account.

After 3 working days when I first contacted CS, no 5g yet for me. So I contacted them again today and they mentioned I am on the old MEGA plan and I have to change to the new MEGA plan if I want to get 5g. I'm on the old RM80 MEGA plan which is the same as the new MEGA plan. Anyone here need to change their plan to get 5g? When I check on celcom life, my plan is actually already 5g ready

I have contacted them the 2nd time since they told me to contact them if I couldn't get 5g after 3 working days. First they told me, I am on old MEGA plan so I have to switch to the new MEGA plan. I am currently on the RM80 Mega plan which is more or less the same as the new MEGA plan and I've checked on Celcom Life, that my plan is 5g ready. Then asked me to give address of where I can't get the 5g signal and asked me to do speedtest also shakehead.gif At the end, they told me they will highlight this matter to their respective team and to try from time to time. No deadline given also when they are going to resolve this doh.gif

I can finally use 5G service this morning, after pestering & forcing Celcom to provide me with a ticket number for a few days.
They provided me with a case number yesterday, and this morning, i could see 5G is up & running.

TL/DR - whenever you guys call & complaint, FORCE them to provide you with a case number.

Nope. Noticed the 5G icon on my iPhone 13PM when i was about to go to work. I guess, the SMS does not matter.. as long as the 5G is activated..

Anyway, i pestered Celcom's Cust Care via their Twitter account after all other efforts via WhatsApp, FB & direct chat thru Celcom's portal went unattended..

Ah I see. I actually contacted them through twitter, but still nothing.. keep asking me to check from time to time. I guess they will take us seriously only if we complain to MCMC. Keep giving excuses why we couldn’t get 5g, today my friend called CS and was told that there is no 5g coverage in Kuching 😓. Do they even know that we can check ourself the coverage in the DNB website?

I received an SMS on my Postpaid Mega 80 plan stating that the free 60GB 5G booster has been activated and will automatically renew every month. I'd like to know whether the free booster will remain active during the auto-renewal or if it will become chargeable.
*
Ya same, was wondering the same too. Did you subscribe to the 5G booster before for RM10 extra per month?

No, I did not subscribe any 5g booster before

I did and my unbilled amount is still showing RM90 after receiving this free booster update. I hope they revert it back after this exercise.
