At last after few bising2 at Celcom Twitter, my XP Lite managed to have volte feature enabled. Need to asked them to enable it from their side manually. Device, Huawei Nova 5T, XP Lite M pass.[attachmentid=10744112]

Still haven't release the permission to the MVNOs yet, but I am sure they will offer the feature before the end of 2021.

Thanks for the tip.

Currently using Xp Lite also. Apparently Volte not automatically activated for everyone

I pm live chat on FB, they say service not active for my account and they activate for mine in 5 mins

Very dumb, they should just enable by default for all user instead of having to contact them

Ya, should just enable to all. LEt customer's mobile unit decide to use or not instead of 'begging' to be activated. sweat.gif

yup, and what I see is, Celcom intended to pull all their customers to subs into their Mega subscription. Nothing premium about volte, sonner they have to offer it to all when 3G is no longer in service.

Yes, but some people want to surf while calling, with volte one sim is enough. Without it, you need to have 2 sim; one for calling (2G/3G) and one for surfing (4G)

It's not "crazy" over VoLTE, it's just more people are starting to know the importance of it...

Better call quality, internet connection won't be disrupted during phone calls, battery life won't be drained because it maintains at 4G instead of switching back and forth to 3G

This is a tech from like 7 years ago, people should've went "crazy" for it from the start (when YES started to launch it here back in 2016), but then not much awareness was given so many didn't really care until recently, basically Malaysia is very late to implement this old tech completely.

I seriously doubt you would want to use 2G for your voice calls, and that's probably not something that the government wants you to be using for your daily needs anyways cuz some tech stuffs like older card terminals etc. still need to rely on 2G, that's why the government is aiming for 100% 4G coverage nationwide in populated areas.

It’s not about obsession but it’s adopting new technology. Why would you want to stick to the older technology if the newer can be better and cheaper?

Celcom's way of implementation is a bit weird about this volte. First they only offer to postpaid Mega and android 11 devices. I did called 1111 and asking for volte but the CS confirmed that the feature only available to Mega postpaid users. Only at recent they admit that volte is also applicable to other postpaid users too, but they just keep that quiet.

Maybe I missed the notice but Celcom never announce the daily 1GB extension until March 2021, right?

I have the Unifi Mobile line and they still offer it.
