QUOTE(nickchk89 @ Feb 29 2020, 06:22 PM) Note that unlimited M have capped speed of 5mbps(around 500+kbps actual speed) Hi i've been a user of Digi Infinite i150 for years and recently in my area digi is getting worse to a point where i have decided this is my last month with them, can you (or anyone) please share the speedtest of Celcom Mega Unlimited M (or any), i know one is capped at 5mbps and another is 15mbps, but i'm more interested with the upload speed.U can stream 1080p without buffering though, just that the speed is capped, if u fine with that, then can go ahead Currently i still testing this, if i can't handle the speed capped, i might go for digi infinite 100 I have a prepaid celcom that i have been using occasionally with the ultra hour pass with a really pleasant result, hence the thought of porting to celcom on my postpaid. Thanks in advance. |

Managed to change my plan from xpax 50 to xpax lite + L pass after several rejection in the past months due to blacklist. All of sudden I am eligible when I am checking online, lol.

Been a long time since I'm shopping for telco
I'll be stationed somewhere in rural Kelantan for 3 days and seems like the only reception is from Celcom I need hotspot for my laptop, mainly for email and Skype. Maybe around 2GB per day. To Do 1. Buy Xpack Prepaid Pack - RM10 2. Buy Internet Pass 18GB for 7 days + Hotspot Addon 5GB - RM15 Total: RM25 Am I doing the right thing? Or any better alternative? » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Source: https://www.nperf.com/en/map/MY/-/82.Celcom/signal |

QUOTE(petirbuas @ Mar 9 2020, 01:14 PM) Been a long time since I'm shopping for telco The 18gb pass you plan to buy won't work with hotspot, only the free 1gb data for hotspot included in rm12 plan and 5gb add ons, so if you want to use for hotspot you need to monitor the data. If you use it on mobile it will consume the 18gb first. Therefore total is rm25. Correct me if I'm wrongI'll be stationed somewhere in rural Kelantan for 3 days and seems like the only reception is from Celcom I need hotspot for my laptop, mainly for email and Skype. Maybe around 2GB per day. To Do 1. Buy Xpack Prepaid Pack - RM10 2. Buy Internet Pass 18GB for 7 days + Hotspot Addon 5GB - RM15 Total: RM25 Am I doing the right thing? Or daily rm5 4gb, three days will also cost you rm25 For me, if I'm afraid I will overuse the hotspot data, I'll take the no restriction plan. But if you are confident you wont use more than 6gb data for hotspot, and you will spent most data on phone, your plan is good enough. Plus add on data for the plan is merely rm3 for 5gb so if you need more hotspot data the cost is affordable This post has been edited by ohtheirony: Mar 9 2020, 01:58 PM |

QUOTE(powerwoot @ Mar 12 2020, 08:44 PM) lucky you, unfortunately I just migrated to XP lite + L pass last few days. If you have it, getting another 20GB at rm50 is consider good compare to mine 15GB total at RM58. It's just an additional 10GB added to my plan anyways. I'd also say the free upgrade also came in at just the right time, as I have started thinking to switch recently.Few pain points which were causing me to think about switching: 1. Celcom Life app sucks, on Android at least. - Every time I had to browse the Rewards section, tap into each reward/promo/offer to view more, go back to scrolling the reward list, it won't remember where I left off & just start me back on top from the beginning of the list again. I'll have to waste more time to scroll back to where I was to continue where I left off. Like what the heck!? - My main point is, it's not like Celcom has good rewards anyways. They mostly are irrelevant or just not available to me(in my area/KLCC/KL/Klang Valley in general). 2. I noticed I have lower signal/lower quality 4G reception in general compared to my colleagues on other telcos, within KLCC(my workplace). 3. They also don't have VoLTE/VoWiFi. - However, they recently announced VoLTE will first come to iPhone X & above, few days ago. So, I guess I can wait just a little bit longer for that to come to my peasant Android phone then. 🤷♂️ In case you're curious how does my exact current plan looks like, feel free to refer to the spoiler below. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « |

Actually I was in xpax 50 for about a year before change plan to xp lite last few days ago. Comparing to my xp lite + L pass vs your xpax 50, I am getting a total of 15GB and have to pay RM58 where yours 20GB all day at RM50. Edit: Or is it that you could be referring to the good ol' Celcom First Basic 38 plan from like 3 or 4 years ago actually? 🤔 QUOTE(powerwoot @ Mar 13 2020, 10:01 PM) The entire time I have signed up for this plan until now, there was never once any rollover for unused data. It was never mentioned as part of XPAX 50 plan also. 🤔This post has been edited by JkzsBlog: Mar 15 2020, 02:09 AM |

QUOTE(ohtheirony @ Mar 4 2020, 03:47 PM) Edit: It seems like I was the one confused with the new plan I can't see any T&C and FAQ address the question above.I have read the tnc and in it they stated the hotspot quota is for the unlimited plan only, not the lightning plan So yes, if you subscribe to the base plan only OR with lightning plan, the whole data can be used to hotspot Seriously celcom, your base quota should be applicable to hotspot regardless of the plan la... I just worried if I subscribe MEGA base plan only, then the system doesn't allow hotspot at all. |

<2nd time posting this and check if anyone can answer>
Celcome MEGA Plan, please check my statement below whether is correct or wrong. MEGA (RM80) Hotspot 30GB MEGA + Unlimited M (RM80 + RM18) Hotspot 5GB only MEGA + Lightning M Pass (RM80 + RM18) Hotspot 50GB (30GB + 10GB) I chat with Celcom FB support and got the above, but it looks like doesn't make sense. Hotspot and Speed is everything for me. Monthly data usage is about 8GB to 10GB only. No video streaming, purely using internet to work at anywhere within Malaysia. Thinking to switch from Maxis to Celcom, but the MEGA plan seem not suitable, want to confirm here. |

I am interested to know if anyone knows whether Lightning M's internet speed is capped? And if yes, at what speed? I cant find no such information on Celcom's site. They only list Unlimited M to be capped at 5Mbps
