Only celcom and maxis have this problem? Need to set to 2G only? celcom - yes, maxis - no idea

Only changed phone and sim recently and playing with 4G didnt know all that.

Mystery solved.

I check celcom dont have 1 year long data plan for prepaid. Guess wil stick to 2G for now or use 4G and let celcome anyhow charge me. Seem the charges amount to almost RM10 per month.

Kids nowadays dunno the experience of 3gp, now all hd 4k, sure eat lots of data, and thus ppu is obsolete, and telcos no longer offer them

Disable google app, use aurora store instead, your phone sure can be light and not data hungry

Anyway, dear celcom, please bring back 150mb rm10 no time limit, we don't mind buying the most expensive data in Malaysia after ppu

So xpax with basic internet cannot get validity extension anymore?
I use xpax that come with 1gb monthly free basic.

Use the code, and got this reply-

"RM0 Sorry, we're unable to process yr request as this service is available for selected prepaid customers only. TQ!"

So no validity extension.

    I have a celcom prepaid package long ago Xpax which could buy 2 years validity, I noticed celcom is arbitrarily deducted the money if detected there is internet data usage even 1kb will deduct 50sen, so far this month already deducted RM5, but I already block all internet data usage for simcard celcom, and also block and set the limit for celcom simcard is 0 kb, but again the celcom still deducted money arbitrarily.

  I have contacted celcom helpdesk, they said celcom detected data usage and deducted the money, and they said this is because the old xpax package didn't have basic internet, celcom suggest to convert to new xpax plan with basic internet (but can not buy 2 years validity which is a must for me, cause this celcom simcard is for my aunt to use, she seldom call, and just receive call and with 2 years validity.),  I asked celcom helpdesk to block all the internet data usage for this simcard, celcom helpdesk said they cant block

  Anyone encounter such a problem? How to solve this. Thank you for all the replies.

On xpax rm45 per month..unlimited 6mbps...

celcom cut off 2G and 3G at my area. 4G signal is almost dead indoor. 4G outdoor speed is now slow a f. speed is ~400kbps (used to be 5Mbps at this time). goodbye phone call.

Any one here having problems receiving calls after Celcom turn off 3G?

Problem at my office area. No 3G signal. With no VoLTE, seems to have problem switching from 4G to 2G to receive calls. If disable 4G then can receive call. Call out no problem.

Tested with Android phone & iphone 12, same problem, VoLTE ON can receive call, VoLTE OFF cannot receive call.
As not all 4G phone can turn on VoLTE, this is a big problem.

Tried the same test with phone on MAXIS network 4G/2G only.  Seems to be OK.

Suspect Celcom config problem. It takes too long to switch back to 2G.

Anyone in Celcom area with no 3G signal able to receive call?
Call out also takes a long time before getting the ringing tone.

BTW they denied the request to raise a ticket.. Saying will enable by stages. I reporting to SKMM.

Celcom put as subsidiary under TM International, then TM spun off TM International into what we know today as Axiata.

nobody remembers Mobikom.
If not mistaken, it was using 018 prefix.
i think it was merged over by TMtouch, but don't quote me, fuzzy memory

015 was initially used by Jaring VoIP.
Until today you cannot MNP this prefix, reserved range strictly for VoIP.

Anyone here is experiencing bad call experience? i am a long loyal user of celcom postpaid plan. The call experience has been really BAD lately for the past 1 to 2 months. Keep disconnecting from voice calls, 0 bar inside my house (normally will get 1 to 2 bars)
